At least she's brave!

"If I got you correctly, she must have got naked in a movie or something so what? What's the big deal? You've never seen a woman naked before? Or maybe the sight of a naked woman disgusted you? Hey, that's fair enough - not everybody should like naked ladies. It's your choice."
First of all, it IS a big deal for a woman to get naked in a Bollywood movie. We are just not adjusted to it and although some changes are for the better.. I don't see how this one is. Kissing and sex scenes are just not part of our everyday lives.. sure people do it. But 2000not in public.. thats the difference between our culture compared to the rest of the worlds. Ok, and if posing nude and being naked is nothing bad.. then how come you don't see people walking aroung on the streets naked? Why do people feel embaressed when they see a naked person on the streets? If it's no big deal.. than how come EVERY single Indian paper has been writing articles on this topic? How come this "new exposity" has been the topic of many indian familes all over the world?
"What I do not understand, however, is you blaming her for the so-called decline of the Indian culture. I don't get why you're so angry at her to have done what she have done (is she your sister? A family friend? A ex? What?!), but what I REALLY DON'T GET is why you're piss at her for something she obviously have little to do with. News-flash: he's an actress. She have only done what the director told her to do. So why aren't you angry at him, at the writer(s) and/or at the producers, the actual reasons why she did what she did. And, yeah, she couldn't have refuse to do so, but then someone would have get the job, and you all would have then be piss off at her and still not at the real people who are responsible for all your anger. And, please, don't tell me that no one else but Mallika would have played that part - India is a nation of over a billion citizens; if you don't believe that at least a couple of millions of your women would have gladly do what she have done, to gain fame and fortune, well, folks, you're the biggest buch of FOOLS I ever met in my life!"
If the director told her to do it, didn't mean she had to agree to it. And what's more is that she was WILLING to do all these actions of vulgarity. Though she is nothing of mine, she is ruining the once innocent India.. just watch. Next thing we see is children on the streets mimicking the actions of what they see on cinema nowadays. I also dislike the fact that she "sells herself out." She obviously had to start doing sex scenes because she sucked at acting. Her promiscuous behavior in "Murder" and "Kis Kis Ki Kismat" and "Kwashish" was sick and disgusting. She is enfilthening Bollywood. Mallika Sherawat is better suited for porn films in Hollywood - for now she is trashing Bollywood. I read a recent article stating that Mallika's Bollywood collegues were appalled at her body. They said, "What was the need for her to wear, or not wear, clothes that left nothing, and everything, to the imagination? The hot-bod image may have men panting for her back home. But over there in Cannes Mallika represented India and Indian cinema. The foreigners are hardly going to be bowled over by a woman's sharp cleavage content."
As for blaming America, we are not blaming America! Actually, I am blaming our own Indian race because they tend to get so influenced by foreigners. If you go to a college in India, every person tries to copy americans.. and ofcourse its not americas fault. They have their own country.. their own culture.
Well anyways, call me conservative. Call me a hypocrite, call me an old-minded woman, but is this going to lead us anywhere in the name of liberalization? What is this woman liberating? Her body, the sexual fantasies of people? If this is liberalization, do we really want liberalization? Some people may call Mallika "hot" and "sexy", but those same people may not respect her as a woman.

What i dont understand is how is she responsible for downgrading Indian culture and values.
ok she doesnt wear clothes in her movies but who goes and sees her movies and make the movie a blockbuster. Ummn the audience i guess, so they pay for the movie ticket based on their choice and watch her naked and stuff and u blame her. she is giving what the audience wants and crave, so how does she degrade our culture.
why not blame the millions of people who watch her, why not blame the Kama Sutra, why not blame the temple in khajurao with nude female sculptures and why not blame the images and sculptures of Lord Krisha and Radha copulating (well for the brain dead it means having sex)??
theres nothing wrong with sex and nudity, get over it people. what is wrong is glorification of violence and rape and actors like govinda and Salman Khan. -

"But being a woman, I find it extremely insulting when these same characters proclaim that they are 'strong, independent and brave' BECAUSE they do so."
Uh, it's part of their job - I'm pretty sure that you won't mind in the least if SRK, Akshay and Salman take off their shirts and bare their bodies in a skin show now, right? It's only the ladies that bother you now isn't it? I mean, that IS why you posted in the first place? I'm pretty sure that YOU think you're 'strong, independent and brave' for posting on this topic here, right?
Let's make a deal: Let's stop actresses running around in skimpy costumes if you stop posting here displaying your hang-ups while pretending to be profound, OK?
