It says on the website that he is about to make his directorial debut for Fox Searchlight.

Click on Filmmakers and then Jeff Baena.
It doesn't say whether he wrote it with Russell or what it's about. I would think that if he wrote it with Russell then it would have mentioned it.

The last time i spoke with him he was writing a horror movie that he was going to direct.

alot of money in horror movies, they can be so crappy, yet make alot of money.
but if you were to make a good horror movie, then its even fatter cash!

he wrote it for fox. they let him make a short (paid for it). but the short was so bad they decided not to go ahead with the project. now jeff and his producers are looking for money. he's a very good writer though.
