Yeah, the boards are kinda slow for Michael these days! Even though we think he's great he still is a very new actor and only has been in one film, so there's not much hype @ him yet! I'm a huge fan of his and have read a lot @ him.so what did you want answers tomaybe I can help!

(but also by far the hottest guy ever!)

I've read so much on Michael and truly admire him for so many things! He played for the Walpole Junior Stars while he was in high school. UNH, BU and UMaine were all after Michael offering him various packages for college (Obviously all great hockey schools)! Supposedly it was a tough decision for him but he ultimately chose UMaine and played for the great Shawn Walsh! After 1 1/2 years at Maine and coaching issues he left to played hockey at UMass/Boston. That summer he worked on a fishing boat off Glouster inspired by his favorite book in high school "The Perfect Storm". What a great book! A friend told him @ the auditions for "Miracle on Ice" as they called it back then, and he went thinking he would probably be an extra or something. He kept on getting called back and ultimately nailed the part of "OC".
He ended up doing a fabulous job in the movie and I believe signed a 3 year contract with Disney. I read in an article they are calling him "Teen Idol Machinery!" He did a telelphone commercial in Western Canada, unfortunately we'll never see it and there was that article in Vanity Fair!
Yes, he has a daughter Ava who was one in May, and yes he is engaged! I don't know why people make so much of this.I just hope he's happy and I'm sure he's a great father and loves his daughter very much! Of course, we're all jealous of his fiance (LOL) but good for her!
My respect lies with his incredibly hockey ability, the fact that he's been on skates since he was 18 months and his incredibly supportive f5b4amily! His dad had a massive stroke in 1993. That must have been so hard for his family. Michael is one of four children with two older sisters and one younger one. His mother really had to take charge of the family! She must be a very strong woman, as well as, his dad who I know is a real rock for him!
He lives mostly in LA, sorting through scriptsI'm sure. Hopefully we'll see him in something soon. If you admire him as much as I do.just support him in whatever he chooses. That's what being a devoted fan is all about!
Hope that helped out some!

Well,
I had the extreme priviledge of corresponding with 3 people that new Michael fairly well! I posted a lot on his boards back in March and April and a couple of people sent me private messages here complimenting my writings about him. That was very coolbut I was just writing the truth as I saw it. He's a great person and an incredible athlete! I hope he reads these boards and knows how many people admire him.Of course I admire him the most (LOL)! But really I do. -

You may have heard he lives in LA from me. As I said I was so priviledged to speak with three people that new him. He's definitely mostly in LA now! Hope he's having a great time! Sorry I can't offer more proof of this but it is the truth!

You definitely know your stuff good job. I picked up a lot of info thanks to you. Good to know one person admires him enough to do their homework.
They say you can see a person's soul through their eyes i saw a lot more when you winked at me. -

You know, that was the one thing I always questioned too! But someone from his High School said he won a national championship for them so I guess I thought "They must know?" He played for the Walpole Junior Stars so I thought
maybe they could be involved in something National? Anyway.thanks for clearing that up and I wish someone would tell me what the "Super Eight" is???
Anyone??? And that's another question of mine.If he played for the Walpole Junior Stars would he have also played for his high school hockey team? My guess is..no! -

I can handle the super 8 question lol Its actually now the Super 10 but thats a completely different story lol (I would explain it but it was not in effect when Michael was in high school and it would probably just confuse you more lol I knwo it confuses me) In MA high school hockey they basically have four (I'm pretty sure it's four but the Super 8 only deals with division 1 anyways) state championship tournaments: Division 3, Division 2, Division 1 and Division 1A. Division 1A would be the super 8. You have to have 20 points to qualify for the tournament (with 20 games per season) and the MIAA (Mass Interscholastic Athletic Association) has a committe that decides which 8 teams will be invited to play in the super 8. They evaluate the teams based obviousely on their schedule as well as their strength of schedule and somehow they pick 8 teams. Those 8 teams then would play each other in a double elimanation tournament where in the first round the #1 team playing the #8 team, the #2 team playing the #7 team and so on. I don't recall Holliston ever being in the Super 8. My brother is a year younger than Michael and his team was in the super 8 four out of the two years and also we went to the tournament when my brother was in 8th grade which would have been Michael's freshman year. I could be wrong but I do not recall them being in the Super 8, but I definitely know they have never won it.
Also if he played for the Walpole Junior Stars he would not have been able to play for his high school. The Junior team would have been too big of a commitment.
The only thing I can think of him being able to win a nation championship is with either the Stars (I have no idea how the Junior Leagues deal with championships and what not) Or for either the Holliston youth hockey team, but I'm skeptical about that because we usually hear about it when a local area team wins the Nationals.
Well hope that cleared things up and if you have any more questions feel free to ask!
