I think the whole "girl power" thing might've seemed like a gimmick, ut it was a good message for young girls.. It doesn't matter that you hated them, they made little girls feel empowered, made them believe they could do anything strong and positive message.

OK then, the Spice Tarts were at their height about 9-10 years ago. Funnily enough I haven't met any twenty something ladies who say that the Spice Girls were a big influence on them as children. Nothing the spice girls had to say was empowering as far as I could see. The words Flash and Pan come to mind

Yes the Spice Girls were annoying but as soon as they disappeared it got even worse when the likes of Britney Spears appeared. I mean at least the Spice Girls had catchy songs. Today we have loads of talentless artists and the spice girls seem reasonably talented in comparison.

And now they've reunited and are going on tour. I bet you're looking forward to that one! I for one, didn't mind them.

Couldn't stand then when they were popular due to my little sisters constant blasting of the CDs but 10 years later I happen to catch a song and have actually become something of a fan and wouldn't mind catching the new tour.

At least they went away before they started wearing thin on the public, unlike some other performers who should have retired years ago.

Yep, their songs were catchy, but catchy in the same way that chlamydia is catchy, and just as painful and embarrassing. They were stb68rangely attractive, until I realised that they weren't five pretty boys in drag straight out of some Berlin burlesque review. And yes they had staying power, like a road works that seems to last for bloody ever. The only difference between their videos and a porno movie is that the porno has better music. And as soon as they'd had a couple of Number Ones (defining the ultimate victory of PR hype over talent, musical skill and, let's be honest, the ability to actually sing) Ginger Spice (I would have said slaggy spice but you wouldn't have known which one I was talking about !) left to pursue her solo career - and what a success that was !
                            And by the way, it's
why don't you just f#ck the hell
