Why exactly aren't they as popular as they used to be? Despite what the media claims the only 'flop' the girls have had during their comeback is the fact that Headlines only got to number 11 in the UK charts.
The Greatest Hits album got to number 2 in the UK and in the top 10 in the states. Every concert review has been a positive one. Tickets for their UK shows at The O2 sold out in under 40 seconds.
So they're ending their world tour without visiting Austrailia, Argentina, South Africa and Japan! Sure that sucks if you're a Spice fan but the reason they can't visit those places now is because originally there was going to be ONE concert per major city. But because of the demand they ended up playing 17 concerts in London alone and 3/4 concerts per major city in the states.
Don't try and join the stupid newspapers by claiming the Spice Girls reunion has been a flop because it's been anything but.

No they didn't! Don't believe everything you read in the press. Yes the tour was successful but that 'sold in 38 seconds' was pants. Some friends of mine managed to get good seats (in blocks) weeks before the concert they went to. And curiosity made me test this by searching on Ticketmaster and Seetickets with weeks to go to the concert - and each time I was able (had I wanted) to get up to four seats at a time. By the way - my friends enjoyed the concert.
The Greatest Hits album may have reached number two in the UK charts - but it dropped out of the (and fast). For a Greatest Hits album - it has been pretty poor selling.

Yes I'm not saying EVERY ticket for their UK shows sold out in 40 seconds but there was one date which was put up as one of the first dates which sold out in 38 seconds. And it's not just in the press that was written. The Spice Girls themselves confirmed it.
Who cares if the Greatest Hits album dropped out of the charts fast? The point is enough people bought it for it to get to number two. Considering they were a band everybody makes fun of and they came back out of nowhere after 8 years the fact the album got into the top 10 at all is a compliment.
Stop trying to pick on tiny things which have been negative and saying these things have made the comeback a failure because all in all the comeback has been amazing.
