At breakfast, my partner was telling me about a cordless lamp that showed up on one of his feeds. He didn’t click it or anything, but just showed me.
I just went into my Facebook account on my iPad and there were no less than three ads for cordless lamps. I never looked them up on any of my devices on any accounts.
    That is scary!
    Has this happened to you?

The ai wothin your phone listens out for keywords to add to personalized ads. It's not like someone's sitting there tapping into your phone listening to your convo. I'd be more worried about the weirdos here doing something like that than ai lol.

Still, that information is probably stored somewhere and tied to me. I don’t like that.

            turn off mic.
How do you stop your phone from listening to you for ads?
Go to the Settings app. Tap Security and privacy > Privacy > Permission manager. Tap Microphone. Look through the apps and choose which ones you want to stop giving microphone access to.

            hope that helps.

Yes! Thank you! I’ll do that on my partner’s phone too.
