i mean its very annoying to me like its just an automatic, unthinking, default response about who the best band is.

now most popular? yes, most financially successful? yes. most renowned? yes. but best? no.
there have been better bands, not many but a few maybe 10. but they were around for 4 years or so. so its hard to compare a band that was around only 4 years to a band that was around for 8 years like the beatles bc the standards of quality is not comparable bc the time of greatness is double or half as long.

That sentence you wrote explains exactly why the Beatles are the best. If not them, then who? Someone less popular? Someone less financially and critically successful? Someone less renowned? The Beatles lead in all categories and it's not even close. They are the GOAT. Everyone else is ****. -

no they arent the best. i could argue pink floyd and led zeppelin to name 2 are better.
ok i guess i miswrote that bc i dont think they are the most critically successful or respected band of all time.

you are wrong. take an average song by pink floyd and led zeppelin and you will find much deeper, much more abstract, poetic, much more visual, much more meaningful, complicated, more meaning than 1 meaning song lyrics.
with the beatles half of their songs are so simple lyrically that they repeat themselves and just say i love you i love this girl over and over again in their early songs. very unuseful and not impactful.
sure i watched a doc on pink floyd and roger waters said pink was influenced by the beatles he even said there wouldnt be pink floyd without the beatles but still pink is better much more thought provoking and evocative lyrics in pink than in the beatles.
oh also even though they were influenced by the beatles not one pink floyd song sounds anything like a the beatles song. and not one zeppelin song sounds anything like a the beatles song. so your point is null and void and unapplicable.

Lol what you’re talking about are special effects. Pink Floyd were famous for their production and engineering, same with Led Zeppelin. That doesn’t make their songs anymore “complex.” Literally everything Pink Floyd wrote about the Beatles had already written about before. Also Led Zeppelin’s songs were all ripped off from other bands and singers, and their lyrics were pretty shallow.

Yeah sure, if you’re stuck in 1962
The rest of your post was so horribly written that I couldn’t bother to finish reading it.
