He has been a terrible, terrible influence. If blind gossip is correct, he pressures her into doing drugs and drinking every time she gets sober. She really wants to be healthy but he is holding her back. He treats her terribly and calls her fat
He once walked away and left crying at a restaurant, with no money, credit cards or car. He made her write the encouraging tweet in response to Joe Jonas , even though she was furious and hurt. He is bad, bad news. He constantly threatens to leave her and berates everything about her from her hair, to her clothes. I was shocked to see on his twitter that he spoke at some sort of inspirational event while there is nothing inspirational or respectable about him, he is addicted to cocaine, heroin and alcohol and has gotten so many girls hooked onto them.
She needs to walk away but I guess she doesn't realize how amazing and beautiful she is and how no woman should ever, ever put up with such treatment no matter what. Nobody deserves this. He is extremely manipulative and knows how to throw her crumbs of attention and she is vulnerable and needs to feel loved, I think.
Oh, and on top of all that, he constantly cheats on her. I pray that she sees the light and dumps his sorry *** ASAP. -

Do you got a source or two to prove this? I normally don't trust blind gossip.
I agree with mactach, but I also think there's a mixture of things affecting her life. Part of it is that she is holding herself back by choosing to hang around people like Wilmer Valderrama. Considering he's addicted to cocaine, I would think she sends her fans mixed messages by dating him while preaching her views on partda0ying and drugs. Of course, I agree with you that she should get rid of him altogether since that qualifies as a passive-aggressive relationship and she doesn't even have to be near him in the first place, but that's easier said than done.

I don't have any other sources, but blind gossip has been right too many times, so I believe them on this. The way they posted it, it wasn't about dishing out juicy gossip or anything like that, they were actually very concerned for Demi and wanted people to leave her advice in the comments because she reads BG (which has been proven before, as she has angrily commented about them on twitter in the past). BG said they care about Demi and are trying to help her realize that Wilmer's behavior is unacceptable.
Regardless of anything, that guy is bad news and it sucks to see anyone in an abusive or at the very least opportunistic relationship. This happens to so many beautiful and smart women and you wish you could help each and every one of them open her eyes and see the truth about the slime ball she is dating and have the strength to leave because, sooner or later, the truth does sink in at some point, usually after too many wasted years and a lot of pain and baggage. Demi said that when it came to the drugs and alcohol (which I really hope she did stop), she didn't want to listen to anyone or take any advice, she had to discover for herse5b4lf that she hit rock bottom and was putting her life at risk. I think this also goes for that relationship, she is in denial about his behavior and he knows how to manipulate her and talk his way out of anything. I think she also feels like people are being judgmental and she knows him best, but don't all women in abusive relationships (whether physically, verbally or emotionally) feel that way? I just hope she listens to people's advice and finds the strength to walk away immediately and not look back. She has the right to date anyone and do whatever she wants with her life, of course, but as a woman, I just feel so bad for her with everything she has gone through and would hate to see her settle for a relationship where she is constantly being hurt, berated, pressured into using or taken advantage of. She has just been through so much and I think any girl can relate. -

I've never gotten the impression she wants people to remember her as you describe it.
I've seen interviews on Youtube where she's simply saying that how she dealt with her depression or choosing to do dumb things that so many famous people have done was wrong and regrets it.
Is that so hard to understand Captain? -

No one speaks about depression, or self harm or drugs these days. so by her doing it, it's doing good for everyone she's putting her self out there, trying to help others who are going through the same thing she did, so her talking about it could be saving someone's life, so shut the beep up.

Wow, that is totally not true at all. People still talk about this because it is an awareness issue in communities, schools, etc. Plus, I can think of 10 celebrities off the top of my head who have talked about their own experiences with self harm, drugs/alcohol abuse, and depression within the past few years. Demi Lovato isn't the only one talking about these issues, you know.
so by her doing it, it's doing good for everyone she's putting her self out there, trying to help others who are going through the same thing she did, so her talking about it could be saving someone's life,
And here is where the problem lies. Yes, it is good for someone with celebrity status to speak up about the obstacles in life they faced and how they overcame it so that others know they're not alone, but there is a difference between using past experiences to let others understand these problems exist versus whining and bitching about them while making oneself look like a victim. That is my problem with Demi; while I believe she was a drug addict, I also believe she uses her sob story as justification for her to keep her celebrity status and act like the supposed "role model" she aspires to be.
I know there are fans out there who look at Demi's personal problems and sa5b4y, "I can relate to her!" But honestly, how many of her fans can relate to smuggling cocaine in airports and getting away with it (assuming this is true)? Most likely not many. And this past summer, for example, Demi stated that before she joined
Barney and Friends
, she was suicidal at age 7. If I were to take a random sample of her fans to survey and ask them if they ever felt suicidal at age 7, I would bet that most of them would probably say no. The only things I can see her fans relating to are bullying and lack of parental disciple, but that's about it.
My point is, the way she talks about her past, she is only serving her own purpose to stay relevant in the media, and she doesn't want to hold accountability for her actions. She really isn't saving anyone's life except her own. Therefore, IMO, I believe it is wrong to call her a "hero".
so shut the beep up.
Um, no. As long as she is still in the spotlight talking about her problems, people will continue to talk about her. That's the price she pays for being a celebrity.

I like the girl and I get that she actually does have these issues, I don't think she's making anything up and I sympathize with her but for crying out loud enough already! I'm sorry but at this point she's just milking it. It would be one thing if she had come out with all these details initially but she keep "revealing" newer and newer facts. Two (3?) years later, we're still getting "new" confessions. I don't doubt that she does wanna be a role model but it's just a little contrived how she always has a new thing to "open up" about. No it wasn't a particular secret that she was a drug addict, yeah she's admitted to using drugs but she never went into such detail like this, talking about smuggling drugs on freaking airplanes, so why now? Why after a couple years admit she was suicidal at age 7 for the first time instead of saying that initially if she wanted to help people by revealing that?
I agree with every part of this. You said it a lot better than I could have.

Demi is coming 'CLEAN' re: her past drug issues, which is a big part of her recovery @ least she is being honest, which is a lot more than what 'OTHER' drug-using "celebrities" have done in the same situation

I'll admit that I was never comfortable with the stories that she was coming out with. To me, it just didn't seem like it was right to be so open about some of the things that she was saying. I have to wonder what her intentions are for continuing to talk about her problems because as of now, the stories are becoming a little overboard. I just read this quote from her where she says that she remembers having body image issues when she was three years old. She said that she remembers being in her diapers, pressing down her stomach and wondering when it would go down. I'm sorry but that's an absurd claim. I'm really sorry for sounding so mean but I have to wonder if she's become some sort of pathological liar.

Wait, she had body image issues when she was 3? Last time I checked, no three year old thinks about their body image in an obsessive manner.
In that case, I don't blame you for thinking she's a pathological liar.

You realize she's been on TV since she was what 5 or 6 yrs old? Yeah, I think that would mess a kid up and maybe warp her image couple that with going to school and being bullied by people jealous of your tv "stardom."

Brittany "Murphy" once Said that She could speak real 'WORD's @ only a few months old perhaps though that 'WAS' a false memory which may have seemed very real for Britt. Perhaps Demi remembering having body issues that early could also be a false memory or maybe she is attributing the feeling of being pressured to be a certain weight @ adolescence w/ being a naturally curious infant hard to be certain as women tend to inherently have body dismorphic issues. Whether they have extra "weight" or not is irrelevant. Demi was very slim as a teen I don't think that fact made a difference however. Demi like a lot of young 'GIRL's associated healthy weight w/ being "fat" but she certainly wasn't "overweight" by any means

here's your answer Sparklle
http://www.hollywood.com/news/brief/2439195/brittany-murphy-stands-tri al-for-early-talking-claims
Brittany Murphy was put on "trial" Monday by comedian Ellen DeGeneres, who doesn't believe the actress' claims she started talking when she was just 4 1/2-months-old.
During an appearance on the comedienne's chat show in March 2004, Murphy stated that she was communicating in full sentences by the time she was just six months old, which DeGeneres has always maintained was a lie.
And today, DeGeneres donned a judge's outfit and called Murphy's mother Sharon and her aunt Stephanie to find out the truth once and for all.
Sharon explained, "The first word out of her mouth was 'bubble'. Her aunt Bebba was blowing bubbles and kept saying, 'Bubble,' and Brittany said, 'Bubble' and that same day she said eight addition words. She said 10 words the same day."
Stephanie added, "It was probably maybe about a week after that incident when they were staying at our home and Brittany actually put two words together she said, 'Uncle Bill.'
"She kept pointing to a drawer for us to open and when we opened the drawer I pulled out a little stuffed bunny and she said, 'Bunny,' in a very deep, robust voice."
But paediatrician Dr. Bob Sears rubbished the claims, saying, "That's next to impossible And as far of speaking in whole sentences at six monthsplease! That's just unheard of."
DeGeneres is now urging people with babies less than six months old to send in evidence of their talking babies to support the Murphy family's claims.

I might delete this if C gives an answer
Her real last name was/is Bertolotti. Some people really are sticklers for the real names.
I remember before Miley Cyrus made her name as it is today official, some people almost relentlessly called her Destiny. But no point in doing that here because Brittany's last name is not as known as Miley's old name is.
