There was a right way and a wrong way for LeBron to leave. He chose the wrong way.
Imagine that two parents sit their children down and tell them that they are separating, but that it's mutual, the love they have for their children will never diminish, they will always be friends, yada yada yada. Now imagine one parent crashes their car into the home, bangs a stripper on the front lawn while screaming "screw you guys, I'm outta here!"
The second way is how LeBron handled things.
Orgies are not too much fun if no one wants to do it with you.

So, he went to a team with other stars on it? So what's wrong with that? I don't get it. He needs to be paired with other stars, you need like a trio. Like the Celtics did a few years back, got a new trio and won the championship that same season.

This is the reason why: He went on national TV.
He knew it was going to break the hearts of Cleveland fans, and he didn't give a damn. Imagine you had a girlfriend, and you thought the relationship was fine. Suddenly, instead of breaking up quiely, she decides to go on national TV and tell the world she's leaving you for another man.
            Wouldn't that piss you off?

He admits his mistak7ece, says he would have handled it differently. That TV special raised millions for charity. And it would have been "noisy" that he was going to Miami in the media anyway. This is not a gf/bf break-up, that is one of the problems with Cleveland I feel like, they felt that Lebron was theirs and he owed them this commitment for life I guess. Do I think he should have done it that way? No. But he admits his mistake, everyone makes mistakes. People shouldn't hate him so much over one mistake. I hope he wins a championship, I think he's too good and worked too hard not to win one. Cleveland doesn't even seem grateful to him at all. I don't think you can compare this to a gf/bf break-up, but if someone I loved made a mistake, even a big one, I wouldn't hate them. I may be sad, frustrated etc. but I wouldn't hate them for life.

Yeah, but he didn't just make one mistake. One mistake IS forgiveable. No, he made one BIG mistake. That mistake, even if he wins a championship, will haunt him for the rest of, not only his career but, his life.
Also, I don't understand where you're coming from. Why should Cleveland be grateful? Cleveland is the city that gets no respect - it's the city that's the butt of a lot of jokes. Cleveland had the best record in the NBA last year. They were on the verge of winning a championship. They just needed to add one missing piece to the puzzle. And what happens? Their best player -111c the best player in the NBA, abandons them.
Tell me, why should Cleveland be grateful for that?

Cleveland should be grateful because Lebron gave them so many years of great service. I would say that about any team he was on, but especially one that he stayed with for 7 long years, even though they never won a championship with him. He is one of the greatest players and there are a few players I think of like that, and their franchises should be grateful for them. After that long, don't you think he has the right to do something for himself, play where he wants to. How well are Cleveland doing without him? I don't follow that team so I'm just wondering? I don't think Lebron thought they were on the verge of winning a championship or he probably would have stayed, in my opinion. Lebron's goal now is to win championships.
I don't follow Cleveland, like I said, and I never have. I'm not a fan of theirs so I don't know how they are feeling. But as an outsider, who has no affliation to them, I know what Lebron did and I forgive him. So hopefully a lot of people do/will. Do I like what he did? No but I forgive him. I just really respect him for working so hard and I hope he wins a championship like he wants.

"This is the reason why: He went on national TV."
People in the NBA DON'T tell the teams they are leaving ahead of time, they just publicly announce their decision of where they are going. It was going to be public, it is Lebron! This is not a relationship, it's business and he needed to live without regrets and ultimately do what he wanted. And Cleveland wasn't winning championships, and they thought everything was fine? I really can't believe all the hate for Lebron, I don't understand it, I'm not sure if it's jealousy or what it is.

Because Lebron James is a disgrace. He abandoned his fans in Cleveland and went to Miami to get an easy championship while riding the shoulders of a star who can can handle the pressure and already has won a ring (Dwayne Wade). And he orchestrates Chris Bosh to join forces. Instead of working hard to get a ring in Cleveland. Jordan didn't win in his first few years in Chicago. Did you see him join forces with Isaih Thomas and Joe Dumars? Nope. Did you see Magic Johnson join forces with Larry Bird? Of course not. Did you see Tim Duncan join forces with Shaq and Kobe? Definitely not. They were patient, worked hard, and eventually earned their championships. But Lebron, still in his mid 20's, supposedly the best in the league, took the easy path. And so far, it hasn't paid off. I can see if Lebron was in his late 30's and felt he had to do this because time is running out. But he is in his PRIME, with plenty of years ahead of him. Disgusting.

The reason Jordan, Magic, Bird didn't leave their teams is cause they were stacked with talent. They would of gone else where if they had a better chance to win like Lebron did , if they didn't have the talent around them. Barkley is a hypocrite cause he didn't stay his whole career in Philadelphia. He also left there half way through his career to go to the b68Suns then the Rockets to win a ring and he's bitter it didn't happen for him in either place. And now he wants the same to happen to Lebron. What a hater Barkley is! I think Lebron shouldn't of fallen for espn's bait to announce his decision. The media always are finding ways to ruin people's reputation. Lebron should of just told Gilbert that he was leaving to go play with the Heat. And don't worry Barkley and other doubters Lebron will eventually win a championship. Whether you like it or not.
