Fascism is right-wing because it's all about the government or a leader running everything, while taking all the people's rights away. You don't know what the hell you're talking about. I'm left-wing and I have always thought that facism was BS, and NO left-winger I know espouses that s**t,seriously. Educate yourself:

I'm a loony leftist myself, but I do see fascism on BOTH sides. The Right usually uses religion and modern values to hide their fascism; the Left likes to use political correctness, tolerance, and diversity in order to promote fascism.
          American politics suck.

NONE of those things you mentioned that the left espouses (like I do) have a DAMN thing to do with fascism. DO you even know what the hell you're talking about? Hell no, since you just admitted to being a loony nut. Fascism, my a$$you got that twistedhere's the real meaning of fascism:

                @RickVee
Um, FYILady T KNEW she wasn't black-she GREW up in a majority-black areaTHAT'S why she was into black culture because she'd grown up being exposed to itso if she came off as acting black,it was because she was used to being AROUND and was clearly comfortable with black peoplenothing wrong with that. Hell, here in Detroit you got a lot of non-black people who act black simply because they grew up in an all-black area (since the D is majority black).
And,yes, there IS no such thing as left-wing fascismfascism is a completely RIGHT-wing ideology, period. Yes, black people can be racist, but, hell, white people were racist against us in EVERY hateful, ugly, inhuman, conceivable damn way for the MAJORITY of this country's history, so what the hell do you think we were supposed to doturn the other beep cheek and act like none of that st (lynching, discrimination in housing, jobs, entertainment, unions, etc.) ever happened? And saying we don't have the political power to be racisthoney, that's been a fact of life for black people since we were brought to this countryit's not a beep game we or ANYBODY else plays, it's real life and it's the truth.
And it's these insane Tea Party right-wing nuts I see ranting at/shouting everybody into silence or raising all kinds of beep hell whenever they get called out on their bulls
t,or whenever somebody challenges these jacked-up lunatic freaks. Look what happened when the sheriff in Arizonaafter the shooting out therewho called for an end to all the right-wing rhetoric using gun imagery ALL the time to describe going against anybody they don't likethe Tea Party jumped all over him screaming for him to be fired, even though he had a good record and was a Republican himself. God forbid that even a Republican actually show that they actually have an independent thought apart from the batst crazy Tea Party hive mindset.
Now racist behavior from anybody is wrong as hell, but let's be realwhite people have ALWAYS had the upper hand/political power and the laws behind them to commit ANY horrible act in the name of racism, and get away with it whenever the hell they felt like it. So how dare you try to twist everything around and play like white folks are the victimsthat's so typical of white folks with white privilege, and it's just plain bulls
                t and you know it.
I grew up listening to Teena Marie, and I loved her musicI didn't even know she was white until I actually saw her on a record coverafter I got over the shock, I still liked her because she was talented as hell and her music was the st, plain and simple. A shame she passed awayshe wasn't even that old, and she'd had a major comeback in 2005 and started having hits again. But anyway, this board is about HER, not about your twisted-up wrong-as-hell beep opinions about race. Grow the hell up and read some real history about how slanted everything has been to benefit only white folks at the expense of damn near everybody else, no matter how mediocre, stupid or ignorant they are (look at former President Bush, that beep idiot that got us into two wars that are still costing us millions of dollars fer month).
You need to read this before posting any more of your bulls

Well her daughter is biracial part black. So, maybe JUST MAYBE she is singing Congo Squarer for her child.future grand children etc..
And as far as her "looking black" i never noticed that at all. The first person who pops in mind when i look at Teena is Janis Joplin.

                                      She tries to look black.
Are you saying that black women own a particular look? What exactly is it about her that is making her appear to want to "look black"? Is she putting makeup on to darken her skin to appear that she is actually black (and tanning does not mean wanting to be black), I mean what specific about her look says 'look at me I am black not white'? Maybe you are taking a stereotypical look of a certain race and placing that on an entire race as how they should look but in reality explain exactly what look is solely a black look that she was trying to pull off?
Is it her hair, makeup, clothes, jewlery et al. then remove the stereotype from that look and tell me how me how many black girl try to "look white, Asian, hispanic et al".
                                      She tries to sing "black".
So R&B, Gospil, Soul, Jazz, Blues et al. belong to black singers only? I was not aware that genre of music belonged to any race. White people are intermixed in every genre of music just as blacks are in every genre. Just cause a genre is dominated by particular race does not mean it belongs to that race solely and no exceptions can be made. Her voice b68belonged to her, she sang what she knew and regardless if it sounded like a black woman or a white woman belting out those tunes, it was a white woman in this case, who had a voice that could break thru barriers. That does not mean she was trying to sing like a black woman.
On CONGO SQUARE, she sings about slaves, Louis Armstrong, Erykah Badu.
The album is hilarious when you realize its being sung by a white girl.
So those are people that only black people can sing about? Are you saying the album would be good and not hilarious if no one knew it was a white woman, if the same songs were sung by a black artist it would be serious? Since when does equality mean certain names, topics, dress, voice, style, and sound belong to only one specific race?
                                      She only dates black guys.
And your point of this is? How many black guys date white women in general, how many black girls date white men? It is not something that is new for inter-racial relationships to be seen and accepted. It is 2010 not 1910.
The OP sounds more racist of white people doing anything that is even remotely close to something that a black artist acomplished. Talent is talent no matter the race or gender. While you may not see white people in black dominated music they do exist, have succeeded, and whites are not going away simply cause you want them to, same as black people and all other races. NOthing belong solely to one race in music, it may have roots in it that belong to a particular race but that does not mean it cannot make room for others, be crossed by others, and become a norm in society. There is someone in every race who can do what someone of another race can do, talent does not view color it is within a person. As far as looks go unless she was walking around with a sign that said I am black not white, I am not understanding what in her appearance made her appear to want to look black. She looked white to me, and sounded like a talented singer - no matter what her skin color she could sing (IMO).
