Poetswan, have you had a chance to check out the other posting options yet? There have been some good suggestions so far. As long as everyone is aware of where to post, then we don't have to worry about these boards closing on the 20th.

Good. I don't want all the posters here to become disconnected. For whatever reason, I've been having a hell of a time signing into the page jlent created. In any event, at least we'll have somewhere to go..

Saoirse Ronan is just like Meryll Streep acting in great dramatic movies.Ronan might get third time nominated again at a very young age and win an Oscar from her upcoming movie On Chisel Beach.

Let's hope so. I just watched Mark Kermode's review of Brooklyn the other day for the second time, and he not only seemed amazed at her talent but referenced Streep in the course of discussing Brooklyn.

I read the plot summary for the novel and this is going to be so sad and hard to watch.

I read the novel a bit more than six months ago, and I'd say you're right on in the post. The author has a way of conveying heartbreak in such a beautiful yet powerful manner. I just hope they can successfully pull off the "incident" that affects the rest of their lives. I really believe this is the type of role requiring exceptional ability.

It is a beautiful little novel and quite extraordinarily different from Atonement, which makes Ian such a fantastic author. I'm really looking forward to seeing how his screenwriting abilities come in to play.
I'm actually currently starting Sweetness in the Belly, but am I little weary mostly due to the religious content it seems to have. I hope that doesn't take over the essence of the story and is rather a tool to guide the character.
