Yes, he is the same guy who did a rave video about Brooklyn some months ago.

Amy Heckling mentioned the movie and Saoirse in this interview:
          http://www.mtv.com/news/2879412/director-amy-heckerling-on-clueless-the-musical-stacey-dash-and-absolutely-necessary-boobs/
Did you choose these four films?
Heckerling: There was one I did that was never released, I Could Never Be Your Woman. I dont know what the hell ever happened to it. The producer, nobody could find. Its unfortunate. Whatever happened with it had nothing to do with the people in it and how wonderful they were Paul Rudd, Michelle Pfeiffer. Some weird things happened, and they had a screening with numbers and the numbers were great, and there were fights, and deals, and crap. 111cI dont even want to think about it.
So are you saying youd have chosen that film to be in this retrospective?
Heckerling: I wouldve. I felt bad that nobody got to see it. Saoirse Ronan, whos now on Broadway and nominated for Oscars, shes just amazing. She was so adorable in it, and I wish people could see that.
Its weird what happened to this movie, i've seen worse romcoms with huge releases and this one was quite funny and enjoyable. The biggest channel in the open Tv, here in Brasil, every afternoon screens a movie( usually Romcoms) its were I always see "I could never be your woman".

I'm not surprised she feels that way about the film Poetswan. Evaluated within its genre or sub-genre, ICNBYW holds up just fine with its occasional wit and the charm displayed by the main players. Who knows why the film has been buried. It's completely watchable.
It has been a while since I've watched the film, but I believe Saoirse's first scene takes place in her Mom's SUV while she's either being picked up from school or dropped off. When the camera pans to a close up of her face, there is an undeniable magnetic presence that emanates from her. The "IT" factor is clearly there from the very start. James Beradinelli of "Reel Reviews" felt she stole every scene in the film.

This is why ICNBYW is in my favourite five Saoirse films. Not because it is a great film but because Saoirse is great in it.

Not trying to be a fanboy here, but isn't she great in everything?

Certainly at the least good in everything but to my mind not great in everything. 'How I Live Now' for example was such a bad film I doubt anyone could have been great in it.

I thought KM did a decent job with the source material, but he was somewhat undermined by a tiny budget that resulted in the film feeling underpopulated. Saoirse was for most of the film very unlikable, but there were some great reaction shots where she displayed raw and real emotions. In addition, I felt she transformed her character in a drastic way with the very brief ending of the film.

My vote for not great Saoirse goes to Stockholm, PA. I have no idea what she is trying to be in that one.

It's like they told her to just be devoid of emotions completely which just doesn't work for film characters, especially not someone as expressive as Saoirse. The only scenes I liked in that movie were in the jail.

I need to watch it again. The woman who wrote and directed it is talented but really laid an egg with her first feature film. Saoirse was required to do an exceptionally internalized performance. What can I say?

Simply judging from the stills we've seen to date, it looks to be an exhausting grind with just one day off and two shows twice a week.
BTW, when are you seeing it again? I'll be curious about how much has changed performance-wise from the initial viewing.

Nice. It's from the June Vogue, where it's a two-page photo that looks like this:
                                      http://saoirse-ronan.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=680&pi5b4d=59203#top_display_media
                                      and this:
                                      http://saoirse-ronan.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=680&pid=59202#top_display_media
Vogue was bad in not identifying the woman on the far left. No idea who she is but she doesn't look like either of the two people she could possibly be in the production.

That's joan smalls i think, a fashion model. Vogue often puts random models alongside actors/etc in their shoots.

I think her first scene is when she is playing with the dolls and her mother, she was really funny in this movie.
