I believe it launched Rachel Griffiths' career as well.

It's not only quite funny Poetswan, but it is also tragic and sad at the same time.

Yes, the whole film was building beautifully slow towards that moment only to add more strenght to the "speak low" piano song scene that was so effectively powerful, it is one of my favorite scenes of the year, she and Zehrfeld were magnificent in that one, Nina is certainly outstanding.

I was waiting for her to kill him. She was great in Barbara, The Downfall of Berlin: Anonyma, (AKA A Woman in Berlin), and gave fine support to Phillip Seymour Hoffman in A Most Wanted Man.

                              New dutch interview with GG
Next year Greta Gerwig going to make her first feature film as a director: Ladybird. For the lead role is Oscar candidate cast Saoirse Ronan.. "
The story is set in California in the 1970s.
Furthermore, I would like not much to tell about it yet. Except that it is a woman who is somewhat confused. But let's face it: This applies anyway for the vast majority of humanity? But they are delicious types on which to base a movie.''
The finding that her work as an actress and scriptwriter is autobiographical, Gerwig rejects. ,"Of course there are some elements of my life in my films. But these are details, bits of dialogue for example. But I'm thinking a lot less chaotic. Otherwise you can never survive in the film world. A disciplinary work understanding is almost a prerequisite. And I'm an expert in. ''

seems like a coming of age film..

Althought i think Gerwig can d2000o a lot in a 70's script, imagine the jokes.

Thanks for finding that JJ. At least we know a bit more about it. I wonder why she is being so guarded about the specifics of the script.

Theres also going to be a movie filmed here this summer by Greta Gerwig, an indie darling and Sac native. Its a fictional account of her senior year in high school. Aug. 15 would be first day of shooting. Actors Saoirse Ronan of Brooklyn and Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad are involved. Borden hopes the shooting of the feature film in Sacramento will galvanize its film industry.
