Don't know where to post about this, I know it's, to some degree, hard to find new pictures of her with the correct usage rights to be used on her wikipedia, I recently found an 88th Academy Awards event picture of her from ABC TV that fits under the reuse rights, here is that site:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/disneyabc/25241965782
and this is a direct link to the precise picture:

I wonder if anyone reading this would want to change that wiki profile picture to this, a much more recent one, because I don't know how to do it. -

I didn't want to start a separate thread, so I'm linking the good news about John Crowley here:

Congrats to him for being offered a major project. -

I doubt she will. This was just me being wildly speculative. Crowley and Saoirse obviously have a great rapport but the boy is the focus.
But she DID do that bit in Weepah Way For Now out of, I assume, friendship and this would be bigger than that. (Almost anything would.) -

I looked into this and surprisingly Wikipedia doesn't accept photos distributed under the ND 2.0 licence:

Much like yourself, I initially assumed the photo would be fine as the restrictions attached to ND 2.0 merely relate to appropriate attribution and the creation of derivatives. As it's been a few months since your post, I searched for alternatives on Flickr, but unfortunately the current photo remains the most recent one that is acceptable on Wikipedia. -

There's a different photo up now on Wikipedia from the one back in July. The new one isn't great but is still a far sight better than the old one.
This was the old one, or something similar to it, taken at the Berlin Film Festival for a showing of Grand Budapest Hotel. She looked fine in other photos from the event and she's wearing Valentino. This shot just didn't work.

Ah, I do remember that photo. The current photo was uploaded to Wikipedia last September, so I just assumed it was attached to the article around the same time.
Edit: Oh, that is what happened:

The old photo may have temporarily resurfaced as a result of someone deciding it's the better of the two. -

Not Saoirse news, but there were people around here talking her up for Captain Marvel. Actors have shown they can get franchises and still do other acting but I was never jazzed about the Capt. Marvel idea for Saorise.
It won't be her anyway. Brie Larson got it. -

I still feel the same way about that kind of role: it'd be a pleasure watching her with a massive theater audience, for the largest to date was my viewing of Brooklyn at the "Gems" Film Festival (actually part of The Miami Film festival), but although the theater was full, the venue itself was quite old and rather small.
Sa2000oirse is now back in Dublin for a while. We'll know when she flies back to the west coast to begin preparations for her new film. -

Scast, How do you know she's back in Dublin? Not that I doubt you, just that I'm a bit envious of your sources. I've read nothing about this, though it does sound like something she would do.
Does this mean she is out of her NYC home address permanently? -

I'm pretty sure this is a new picture partly due to the teeshirts that I've never seen before and her very slender face. I just don't think this is an old picture.

Most likely Saoirse won't be in a "permanent" home given her career. She'll be living where her films will be shot and spending time in New York and Dublin when she's able to when not in a film production.
Here are some new images from the Vincent feature:

Really nice photo. She looks relaxed and happy. I'm going to sound hopelessly shallow here and note the facial blemishes that had taken up shifting residence on her face during the Crucible run appear to be gone.
My acting buddy said it was from stage makeup that Saoirse's skin never got used to. It bothered her immensely. She's an acting perfectionist. When I sent her the photo she's the one who pointed out to me the blemish-free skin. I had missed it. -

I had noticed too and was truly worried for her. Any permanent scarring could have affected her career. I would have left the show at the first sign of an issue, but Saoirse stuck it out and I'm relieved for her sake that she's looking better.
Now she's back to movies where that shouldn't be an issue -

I've no idea how one of her fan websites obtained this pic, but here it is.

I'm not sure Poetswan. There is virtually no information about the image.
On another note, i just found out that "Grand" means average, fine Everytime Saoirse said that in interviews, i thought she meaned she was feeling amazing
^I just learned something. -

I've never heard 'grand' used to mean average.
Usually you'd say "It's a grand day", meaning it's a fine day, or it's a lovely day.
Or if someone asked you, "How is it?", you'd reply "It's grand", meaning it's great, etc.
