I'm sure he got the role in "The Pursuit Of Happiness" because of his astounding acting ability at 7 years old, and not because he was the son of the star.

@culwin Guy, what are you saying? That there are no good child actors? That Jaden Smith wasn't good in "The Pursuit Of Happiness"? If that the case then many critics would disagree with that.

I personally haven't enjoyed any of his performances, and I'm also not a fan of blatant nepotism, so in short, I do not like this kid as an actor. I would never tell anyone to not pursue their dreams though. If he is serious, he really needs to undergo some really intense and in-depth acting classes and training to be taken seriously, IMO.

T16d0he kid can't act and if he was Jayden Johnson from Ohio with no connections. He would be told the truth right away that he doesn't have the talent and he would have no shot in scoring a major role.
