Okay for starters, I will just say he is not a bad actor AT ALL. He isn't the best actor, but he is very good. I don't see why people are bashing the poor kid just for his acting skills. I haven't watched any interviews with him, but even if he is an arrogant brat, people shouldn't say his acting is bad for that. Karate Kid seemed to impress me a lot. To me, people are just not enjoying a movie when they look further into the minor details. Even though the movie is very cheesy, and I don't get why they made the little boy fall in love with an older girl, which was in fact stupid. It was inspiring to me. He worked hard and it payed off.
People are saying the movie is awful because he threw a bucket of dirty water at some bullies. Not a smart choice of his character. But how else was a little not very smart boy supposed to get back at some bullies??! I would have done something stupid at bullies if I was a little kid. And what are people talking about when it came to the emotion was like hard wood?!? He showed me emotion throughout the entire movie. He showed a lot of emotion actually. People he cried. His eyes showed tears of being hurt. Determination was set on his face when he tried kung- fu or karate. I was really surprised when people said no emotion at all when it came to Jackie Chan. DUDES,2000 HE MADE ME CRY WHEN HE CRIED. They say the karate was fake looking, I think it's good. It may not be the best film, but it's a regular good one.
After Earth was not a good movie. In fact I couldn't finish it. Slow, boring, but Jaden did very good when I saw his parts. He is like any other actor crying from sadness, angry, scared. He is good with emotion. Come on, he is talented. I'm pretty sure he may be spoiled and all those lovely things, but that's not a reason to hate his acting. I completely respect others opinions, won't hate you for bashing his acting, but I just wonder why. He is really good. But his dad is better maybe because he is experienced. Jaden is not one of my favorite actors, but he is a good one. -

not only is after earth one of the worst of the worst of modern movies objectively
not only that its one of the worst of the worst of child performances ever.
not only that its one of the lowest criticcs score films recently
not only that its one of the lowest viewer scores ever.
not only that its a massive box office flop..2000..
cant find one redeeming thing in thisliterally the 3 biggest indicators of modern film it fails completely.. box office, critic and fan scores literally not a single redeeming factor,,,,
you are reching more than a midget in a Walmart..

Well thank you for your pity. I appreciate it. I was impressed at some points. It wasn't the worst movie ever, but Jackie Chan was my favorite aspect. Every scene with him was pretty good. I also was ten at the time I watched it and was impressed by it. I haven't watched it since then. But Jaden did pretty good for his age. I've seen kids act better or like him. I have seen worse. I thought it was stupid how that fourteen year old girl kissed Jaden's character despite the fact he was eight. It was dumb.

I feel like it's pretty obvious that up until now he's basically been handed things because of who is and who his parents are and in my opinion (which is by no means definitive, yours may differ and that's OK) he hasn't really done anything well up until now. At his best he's not just a complete train wreck but most of the time I see him in his films as African-American Jake Lloyd in Star Wars. Watching him act is something of an ordeal at times.
I agree that he needs to see out independent projects, get away from his parents shadow and additionally work on his craft if he intends to continue to do this to people (act). There's no reason he can't be moderately decent at it. So far though what we're seeing isn't real promising.

Okay first off, the correct term for typical moron kid of today is you because you don't know what an opinion is. Second, the "garbage comic book movies" don't make critical acclaim and a lot of money for no reason. They are well done films with good acting. Third, I like my pic of the joker thanks. Heath's acting in a comic book movie got him an oscar and the movie is number 4 on IMDB's top 250. And that is not the reason why i like the movie. I think anyone can have any pic they want, as listed in the Amendments of the Constitution, which I read. Fourth, i know what good actors are and what decent actors are. For example, great actors are Tom Hanks, Leonardo Dicaprio, Gregory Peck, Christof Watlz Marlon Brando, Peter 0'Tool, Charlie Chaplin, Jack Nicholson, Eric Roberts, James Stewert, and several more. So don't tell me the f#@ck what I do and don't know about good actors. I never said Jaden was an oscar winner. He is just a decent actor and I don't see why he's got all that hate. I've seen worse actors.

You can't understand why he is being bashed!?!?! REALLY!?!?!?! It's this simple, he has NO acting talent and the ONLY reason he has an acting career is because Dad bought him one. It's easy to act and be cute when you are a child like he was in Pursuit but now that he has become a teenager that cuteness is gone and he needs to rely on talent. Which is where he is severely lacking. And then you add on his bizarre ultra-entitled behavior, that Dad seems to condone, you you get a huge negative backlash.
