Totally true. Will Smith loses all respect by the hour. I don't even feel like blaming anything on his son, it's all father's fault.
    I own you.

Shyamalan was the reason it was so bad. For the past 10 years all of his movies have been horrible. So why is it Jaden's fault now when it wasn't Mark Wahlberg or Paul Giamatti's fault when those movies bombed?
No A-list actor has been willing to work with Shyamalan since "The Happening".

The acting in After Earth was laughably bad.
That has nothing to do with the director.

Will said After Earth was the biggest disappointment of his entire career. Right he was.

He clearly cannot act and only an honest person would admit that. The problem
with "fans"is that they are deluded in the perception of anything regarding
                  their "icon".
Simply put , he is a chip off the old block , just like his father he will ruin
                  any film he is in.
Acting should be reserved for professional actors but the problem is that acting
can attract egotistical and greedy individuals. A problem with the film industry
is that once a person is allowed to find there place in the business , It then allows
the7ecm to create relationships and deals regardless of their true ability.
This is why older male actors are cast next to much younger females. As embarrassing
as it looks and is ,the older male actors will get these roles because they dig in deep
with their claws. They have so many friends in the business that the whole concept of
reality becomes distorted. A classic example is
                  Focus
                  where we have Will Smith
aged 47 romantically involved with Margot Robbie age 24 . In reality this would hardly
happen but as Hollywood needs to reuse their constant role model formula of strong man
and much younger attractive vulnerable female Will Smith gets to never grow up.
I believe this is why so many British and Antipodean actors succeed in the US .
They tend to actually train in acting at a very high level . Most come from recognised
and respected schools of acting. I feel that too few American actors want all the work,
regardless of choosing specific roles they want it all .

People get romantically involved all over the place to people that are older in
                        real life
                        , and in films.
It's called having a personality/charisma/intelligence, or money, or just a lot in common.
It's common place to match 40 or 50 year old male stars with much younger females. This makes them still appear bankable, and not old, unsexy, and undesirable to auciences.
Yes Man featured Jim Carrey (born 1962) playing a character becoming romantically entwined with Zooey Deschanel's (Born 1980). 28 and 46
In As Good As It Gets Jack Nicholson (1937) wooed Helen Hunt (1963). So in that film 60, and 34 respectively.
Go back to Hollywood's golden years, and you'll find 40 year olds playing teenagers as a rule.

"A classic example is Focus where we have Will Smith aged 47 romantically involved with Margot Robbie age 24 . In reality this would hardly happen "
WHAT? Do we live in the same reality? This is not unusual at all in the real world, enough so that they are common phrases used to describe it. In particular, the above describes a "May-September romance." Another is a "May-December romance" if the man is much older than that.
Unfortunately for the ladies, it's not as popular for younger men to be romantically involved with much older woman (though it may still be more common than you think).
