I hope he gets the role. Lord knows I'd love to see Static taken seriously in a big screen adaptation. And truth be told I'm personally tired of white people movies, not saying I can't handle the goddamn world the way it is, but some time some day there has to be a movie about somebody like me on screen for a little while at least.

Wesyeed-1, Static shock is black. So the actor will be black. That's not really the discussion in this thread.
Don't you think there are probably 800.0135400 better suited actors out there, rather than giving the role to this pathetic shyte?

I think you misunderstood the comment, which is that it's time for a movie with a black lead to be taken seriously and stop making and remaking all these carbon copy films with white protags. It's getting irritating and boring and Hollywood is really showing their ***. That's why I'm excited to see Black Panther and Static both finally make it to the big screen, and frankly I'd like to see Ororo Munroe get her own movie too because she is the most badass lady in all of superherodom.
Also, didn't you say in an earlier comment that you'd never heard of Static Shock? Thennnn how do you know Jaden isn't good for the role? You should try to concentrate on being something other than a hater. Seriously. -

Okay before I reply, I clearly have pissed you off some way, which isnt my intention.
This conversation had nothing to do with the casting of a black actor. It took me three seconds to look up static shock and see he was black. My point was purely that this cretin has no business being cast in a part like this.
You say, black leads need to be taken seriously. How are people remotely supposed to take this little brat seriously? Black, white or asian. That punk is vile. And I am anything but a hater. My posts are never like this. But this kid really does rub me the wrong way. I find it disgusting.

like you? you're not a super hero now are you?
Also, what about "The Brothers" the "Friday" movie series, "The Wood," "Dear White People," the "Kill Joy" series, "Boyz in da Hood," and "Why Did I Get Married?" Aren't those movies starring mainly black actors and actresses? Yet you said your paragraph as Static Shock was the only black movie in existence.

I am a super hero, but besides that, yeah LIKE ME. I'm black, it's like seriously kinda a bore to watch the 100th friggin movie or show about white people I never saw dear white people and honestly don't want to. Saw Boyz in da Hood while in college, interesting movie. Saw Why did I get Married, not bad
You're correct there exist films in the past starring black actors as the main roles, never said otherwise.
My intention with my post was to request more be made especially in the super hero genre of which there's been very very few black superheros put on TV or in Film. It would be to ME as a black person, who's been black all his life, to watch a movie about someone from my background and perspective on life, that's all I'm saying. -

I am sick of the PC, and all the $hitty black movies! They are all about the same crap. Drugs, gangs, whores, money, cars I do however, love actors with talent, of which Jaden is not, regardless of color. Jaden is a sack of $hit!
