Somewhere across town, a sweet little 6 year old girl needs treatment for cancer, but the government won't be able to afford it because you want to change your body.
You could say this about literally any minor surgery.
If she gets the surgery it will be on the grounds that not getting it would negatively impact her mental health.
You might as well shame people for getting their tonsils removed as the money spent on that could theoretically go towards something more serious.
