That is all.

She didn't fit into Sinister at all. She was out of place. Her acting was appalling.
Also, her imdb pic has been photoshopped to take all the wrinkles/imperfections out and make her look younger. Very vain move. She really is awful in every sense. -

i dont want to be mean but it was kind of not good. i suppose she is a new actress, thats all. or the fact she is acting in an American movie made her feel less natural.

WTF is wrong with you trolls? She was great, believable, and profoundly interpreted her character in Sinisiter.
I suppose your sophomoric assessment is based in whether she's bared her breasts or not.
MrsPrimitiveBoomstick's bit of stuff -

Im British, and while that doesn't make my opinion any more valid than anyone else's, im just saying that I dont think it was the accent that was the issue, she was just really poor in the film, completely took me out of many scenes.
She was waaaaay too dramatic and the fact she had a more than capable actor like Hawke opposite her highlighted this constantly. -

Ah, come on. That is completely unfair and out-of-order. I think she was excellent in
Sinister
.
I just finished watching the film and, despite the film's sometimes frustrating tropes, I thought it was a pretty good, original-enough chiller with some genuinely effective and frightening moments.
But more so than that, I thought that Ethan Hawke carried the movie well and that this lovely actress, whom I hadn't seen before, gave a super performance. She was particularly impressive in the scene with the argument in the bedroom (after they find their daughter's wall drawing).
Good god, if you want to complain about bad acting I could point you in a few directions.
But to criticise Juliet Rylance in this movie shows lack of insight and ill-informed opinion.
Don't feel bad, Juliet! -

I agree, I'm watching
Sinister
right now, and she is not good. The main problem with her is that she acts like she's acting, it doesn't feel genuine at all. I can tell that they needed someone who was really cheap and from "overseas", but it's odd that they had cast her with her nearly nonexistent rsum. -

I know this is an old thread, but I'm watching Sinister now and yes she sucks. She and Ethan were like oil and water. I mean,I'm sure she's a cool lady but I find her very distracting onscreen. Hated her in Frances Ha too.
