If you're actually serious and not trolling.
Amid the tragic incident, social media users talked about if there is a connection between Luigi Mangione and American musician, Chuck Mangione.
However, there is no connection between Luigi and Chuck Mangione, despite sharing the same surname.

Conan's DJ would always start things off with some Chuck Mangione like Prom 06.

Mangione is a common Italian surname meaning "big eater" and Italians love to eat!

Good point. It has its root in the Italian verb
              mangiare
              (to eat):
BTW, "big eater" на русском языке = обжорой (m.) and обжора (f.).

What hurts my ears is when English speakers stretch the name to Man-
                gee
-ó-nay. It's only three syllables in Italian: Man-jó-nay. They elide unstressed I between G or C and a vowel the way we do with the E and I in Georgia. They spell the name Giorgia, but it sounds virtually the same. Stressed I as in
                Gia Scala
                is different.
I didn't have to look up
                mangione
, but Google Translate gives "glutton."

English speakers stretch the name to Man-gee-ó-nay
The Media are pronouncing it Man-gee-ó-nee - same as the way I heard Chuck Mangione's name pronounced back in the day. I guess some things never change.

                        They're mispronouncing his name, saying
                        MangionE instead of MangionA
