If he doesn't lose the weight by February, Sony will void his contract.
Sony has a backup script ready if Hill is released.
The backup script is rumored having Schmidt married and now lives out of state.
Hill will not be replaced. Jenko will not and don't want a new partner.
The script is having Jenko go undercover not at a school, but on the streets were he is more comfortable.
We will also find out more about Jenko background and his family( this may happen with both scripts).
Hill may returned for 24 Jump Street, if he can get control of his weight. -

The filming was scheduled for February 2016, but has been pushed back to July 2016 to give Hill more time. Sony is already prepared to go on without Hill.
There maybe big changes to the franchise, Sony thinks th111ce undercover school model is getting old. They believe the ending of 22JS put an end to the undercover school model.
Whether Hill leaves or not the franchise, Tatum's character (and maybe Hill's character) will be uncover cop(s), but not a school, but on the streets. The movie will only be named "Jump Street"
Dakota Johnson may also return to the franchise as Tatum's love interest and fellow undercover cop.
Whatever happen, Hill will stay on as writer and producer.
So there is no bad feeling. -

Wtf are you on? The next Jump Street is a Men in Black crossover. I'm also pretty sure Jonah was a fantasy in the first Jump Street. That is part of the joke of him and fit Tatum being partners.
