Walz is a total nightmare

[MARIA TERESA KUMAR, MNSBC HOST]: … I want to talk about what you just mentioned about misinformation, because, oftentimes before, in previous political chapters, disinformation, telling people were to vote the wrong way, that was kind of—these were called—considered shenanigans.
But it's becoming more ominous. Can you talk a little bit about that…
WALZ: Oh, yes.
KUMAR: … and what you will do to ensure that there are penalties for that?
WALZ: Yes.
Years ago, it was the little things, telling people to vote the day after the election. And we kind of brushed them off. Now we know it's intimidation at the ballot box. It's undermining the idea that mail-in ballots aren't legal.
I think we need to push back on this. There's no guarantee to free speech on misinformation or hate speech, and especially around our democracy. Tell the truth, where the voting places are, who can vote, who's able to be there….
I've always been wired for unfiltered truth, no matter who it offends. -

Those were exactly my points. If he has his way, the only "free speech" will what is allowed, and that is if it everyone else agrees with him/them. This is dangerous speech; to suggest we must curtail our words about our government. This is definitely dystopian, and he means to not only remove free speech but compel other speech. It's the foundation to all sides of our parties and all people to engage in conversation, including those we disagree with. Who gets to decide what "hate" speech is? I've recently seen someone jailed for a Twitter post, and in the UK you can get jailed for retweeting someone else's post from the privacy of your office. I fear we're headed there if people don't wake up.
Our very democracy is threatened, and it certainly isn't Trump.

This is probably why I feel so passionate about this at the moment, because I'm watching things happen in Canada and in the UK where people are being arrested and given prison time for their words.
I agree that every administration has plenty to criticize, and with the advent and evolution of social media, we are losing our privacy more and more, and with it, our freedom of speech. I think we need to be free to have open discourse with each other and there needs to be the freedom for differences of opinions to exist. Shutting down speech because someone says something "the government" disagrees with is ripe for the poisonous infection of corruption.
You're absolutely right, and it is pretty scary what's already happening in "free" countries, and watching the way this is impacting peoples' lives (including getting people cancelled, people losing their jobs, and now being put in prison) - leads me to foresee a totalitarian regime, and that is not the kind of country I want to live in. It surprises me that people cannot see how this is closely comparing to North Korea.

No, I'm not lying. These were words that came from his own mouth.
I supposed you're going to ignore his stolen valour as well and dodging his deployment.
The guy has said some very fishy things.
I'm watching compilation videos of Walz and Harris speaking. He wants to shut down free speech just as much as Harris does, especially if you say anything critical of them. A vote for them is the beginning of the loss of our first amendment as well as our right to privacy.
No matter what I write, you're going to call me a liar, even though these are not fabrications but his own words. Take from that what you will and as usual, twist things to suit your agenda.
I'm just watching/listening.

Leftists only support Free Speech
when you agree with them.
When you oppose them, they first try to
silence you
, then they try to
destroy you!
Tampon Tim
is the most
Far Left
of any Governor in the USA. He supports:
The state being able to
take away your children
if you won't let them have gender altering surgery.
Putting
tampons
in boy's bathrooms in schools.
Giving drivers licenses
to illegal aliens,
and buying ladders for them to hop the border wall.
Having people
snitch on their neighbors
(like in Nazi Germany)
when they don't adhere to his Draconian Covid Orders.
Watching cities like Minneapolis
BURN
during the 2020 BLM riots.
He IS a total nightmare!

I agree, and the more I've heard him speak, the more dangerous I realize he is. I'm not finding him to be "moderate" at all, but rather, extremely progressive to a dangerous level for many of the reasons you listed.
I also cannot respect him for dodging his deployment and for his STOLEN VALOUR! That is reprehensible and given it's public knowledge, should disqualify him.
It's funny how Harris' talking points were all about how Trump was a risk to our democracy, yet the Harris/Walz ticket is proving to be an unbelievably dangerous threat to our democracy by curtailing our freedom of speech.
The fact that they support fast-tracking children to "transitioning" is dangerous and they're intent on taking away parental rights. The whole "snitching" on your neighbours is dystopian af.
Remember back when people thought those who didn't want the vaccine or questioned masks' efficacy were called conspiracy theorists and alarmists, and then we find out the vaccine came with dangerous and sometimes deathly side-effects, and masks were proven to not be effective. Those "conspiracy theorists" turned out to be right. As for Walz' take on "gender affirming care," if it's so correct, why is it that so many places are finally walking that back and recognizing how dangerous it really is. It is not reversible like they try and tell people. He talks about less government and staying out of peoples' lives, yet they both are intent on invading all of our lives.
I still want to watch what they're saying because I do listen to news from both sides of the aisle to see. It's really pathetic that Walz is spreading those couch rumours about Vance when it's been proven that started from a meme and isn't even true.

He was 41. He wasn't going to see any combat. He would have been in some sort of command role given his high military rank. And he filed papers to retire in February of 2005 so that he could run for congress, 6 months before his unit was alerted it was going to Iraq. Please try to stop being wrong about everything. It makes you look like an idiot.
