remember, lauren wasn't completely into the hills. she said she refused to do it unless heidi was in it. and don't forget lauren conrad is the original laguna beach girl. also, lauren's hils was a huge success so it doesn't matter who got who's sloppy seconds. lauren was a huge success.

Let's all be honest and accept that most of the stuff on the actual show is far from reality. With that said it's funny to hear that there was some actual real drama and yet the cameras weren't rolling. It's like they have reality TV completely backwards.
As for leftovers that's a matter of opinion and my opinion (hahahha I couldn't resist) is that if a guy meets two potential love interests and ends up dating one before the other, the first one he dates tends to be the one he is more interested in.
Its sad to think that people found Lauren boring, I just found her to be the epitome of morality and kindness in comparison to all of her crazy friends on the show.
This is an interesting point. It goes to show that people, specifically fans of the show, are more interested in watching drama (usually caused by immorality) than people being moral or ethical. You should also factor into it that most guys would consider Kristin Cavallari more attractive than Lauren Conrad (at least when they both have makeup on) so they'd enjoy watching Kristin more than Lauren. However, they must not be the core audience because the show with Kristin as a protagonist has not done as well with ratings as when Lauren was the protagonist.
At least that is my understanding of things. I won't lie it's kinda funny to see how much of a mess the show has caused for the people who were in it:
a.) Kristin has failed to land any major or serious acting roles really other than the reality TV show itself (and ratings have been steadily declining)
b.) Audrina pretty much has had the same problem as Kristin. The small roles that she has had were panned (that's a nice way of saying it at least).
c.) Spencer Pratt is never mentioned in the press unless its with mockery. Doesn't seem to have much of a career ahead of him.
d.)Heidi is well where do I even start. I actually think she's in some serious danger considering her apparent addictions to plastic surgery (strangely enough she was prettier before she got any surgeries at all) and now news has come out that she has a prescription painkiller issue as well.
e.) Spencer's sister has had major drug issues and been in and out of rehab. Not saying this was a result of the show though
e.) Brody Jenner actually seems to be doing alright although his "Bromance" show1c84 wasn't really watched by anyone. He seems to be cruising on his looks which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
But then again I was never a huge fan of the show so maybe the people I'm mentioning are only the ones who make (Hollywood Gossip) headlines which by their very nature tend to be negative. These are just my opinions so if I offended anyone that was not my intent.
PS Kristin Cavallari is way way way hot when her makeup is done correctly. I actually like those fang-like canine teeth she has (not that noticeable I guess). She's a very pretty girl. (I'm a 23 year old male) -

Lauren wasn't just boring. She was a self-righteous bitch. Seriously, all of these girls are the same breed of vapid and talentless. They got jobs on a meaningless reality show because their only talents are being pretty. Lauren is no better then the rest of them, but she sure acts like she is.
People watch the Hills because it's secretly fascinating but Lauren was never fascinating at all, she was infuriating. She pretended like she was this perfect, moral person when she was just as shallow as the rest of them. Atleast Kristin was upfront about her imperfections. -

Kristin is a bitch, which is what makes her so watchable.
The Hills was so much better when Kristin took over! - their were more cat fights, drama and fun as soon as LC left, I liked Lauren, but she was just boring and always moaned about her friends.

She is/was different than the others. It wasn't an act. I'm not saying anyone has to like her but I know LC-types and kristen-types and they don't mix well.
