I mean for her "acting". Is like a lifeless object, showing no emotions at all.

I agree. She's like a blank piece of paper. No colours whatsoever.

The past seven years or so there's this new crop of waif actresses like Wasikovska and Vikander who are duller than dishwater but, are being promoted as enigmatic. You can be enigmatic and still be interesting; Isabelle Huppert and Emanuelle Carrere are a living testament to this. Bring back actresses with personalities and enthusiasm! Hopefully, she doesn't ruin Crimson Peak too.

Oh please. Ignorance loves to label doesn't it. Just look at some of Mia's performances like "Tracks", "Only Lovers Left Alive" or Sophie from "In Treatment", "Jane Eyre", and others, and you might get some idea why she's earned such respect from other actors and from master directors for her versatility and depth. But the ignorant don't even know enough to be embarassed by their superficiality. Del Toro knows what he's doing by casting Mia in "Crimson Peak". I think that film will be great, and Mia will be one of the primary reasons.

Her role as Alice wasn't that good, but I did like her in 'The Double'

I hope she doesn't ruin 'Crimson Peak' with her dead looking eyes.

looking through her films, she's worked with some amazing directors. not a huge fan of tim burton but chan wook park, david cronenberg, and jim jarmusch. those 3 are fantastically talented.
i think she's talented a talented enough actress but i suppose i agree that there's been a certain amount of understatement in all of her roles. i'm fine with that, but i'd like to see something different at some point.
comparing her to someone like hupert is a little unfair in my opinion. i don't really see alicia vikander fitting the same mold either. she's fairly expressive in the two swedish movies of hers ive seen.
