Are there any examples you feel justify her as a capable actress?

Well I do think these movies are decent.
In Disturbia she co-starred with David Morse, Carrie Anne Moss and Shia LaBeouf. In Falling Up she worked alongside Rachael Leigh Cook, Joe Pantoliano and Annette O'Toole.
In Hachi A Dog's Tale (directed by 3 time Oscar nominee Lasse Hallstrom) she played the daughter of Richard Gere and Joan Allen.
Futhermore, in her upcoming movies she worked alongside Oscar nominee Elisabeth Shue, Golden Globe nominee Frances Conroy, Rebecca Romijn, Donald Sutherland, Elisa Dushku and Oscar winner Brenda Fricker.
I'm sure you haven't watched any other project Sarah is in, so you certainly can't give any opnion.
Anyway, if you don't think Sarah and her projects are decent, just don't watch it. Don't care about it. Leave her alone.
She won't be replaced from The Event. If she was casted it means the casting directors liked her and her acting. Get over it. -

I think Sarah was doing a good job in The Event until episode 6.
We differ on that opinion. I found myself tired of her from the very beginning. At first I wasn't sure if it was just an awkward beginning but she never got any better.
She is ok. She is trying to get better. Give her a break.
I think by asking "are there any examples where she is capable" is giving her a CONSIDERABLE "break"! Instead of just judging her as "bad", I was willing to see if maybe she was better in other shows, and it was primarily The Event and the Leila character which made her suck.
As for "trying to get better"; that is something I would hope from a supporting, temporary role. I would expect that someone who has been cast in the female lead in a prime-time major network series, she would ALREADY be "better".

I won't argue with you. I'm not fluent in English so I really don't know how to express myself about these things you've said. And I'm not willing to waste my time.
I like her, I support her, and, IN MY OPINION, she is a good actress.
Everyone has different opinions and that's yours. I'm not gonna have an argument with you, sorry
Just respect her and her time to improve her acting. Nobody is perfect, nobody's born knowing. -

LOL - you make it sound that by expressing my opinion, I'm WANTING to have an "argument" with you! No, I am just expressing my opinion, same as you. Of course we all have opinions, that's what this board is about. It doesn't really need re-stating, here.
Just respect her and her time to improve her acting. Nobody is perfect, nobody's born knowing.
That is the same kind of comment you made before, but you seem to have missed my point.
Of course we all have to learn, whatever we do. But should a person "still learning" be cast as the LEAD in a show like this?
I don't fault medical residents for not being as capable as seasoned doctors. But I don't want a resident as chief surgeon if I ever need open-heart surgery

You like her and that's fine, good for you that you support her, but if you think she is a good actress then you dont know ANYTHING at all about what good acting is. She is a terrible actress and doesnt deserve to be in any of the films or series she's been in. -

I agree, she's really awful. Most of the time she's supposed to be crying or upset she just looks like she's smiling and laughing. Unfortunately, her face kind of betrays her on that. She just has the facial features that make her look like she's smiling when she's upset. But her acting ability doesn't help.

I thought she was more believable in Disturbia than she is in The Event. Her acting isn't that great but I don't think she's as bad as many believe, she must be doing something right in these auditions to even get the roles. I will judge her when I see Waking Madison, that might actually be a challenging role for her.
