Reminds me of a Friends episode I saw recently..
Monica Geller-Bing: [about Emma's new nanny, Molly] What's the big deal with her? Maybe she's attractive in an obvious kind of way.
Dr. Ross Geller: Yeah, obvious beauty's the worst. You know, when it's right there in your face. Me, I like to have to work to find someone attractive. Makes me feel like I earned it.
I can't work this out. When I see this girl onscreen, I don't think she is very attractive (not to say that others wouldn't). There is something wier2000d about her. And yet I can't take my eyes off the screen and want to watch her. Bizarre.
One thing that irritates me about imdb boards it's the "looks like" topics. Never even close.
