Is funny you mentioned that cause I've seen quite a few of really good movies Al has made the last couple of years that no one talks about, knows about, and mentions but they are quite good and I'm very glad his made them cause they are good movies that his giving a chance instead of selling out. I think the reason why some dont try to cast him is cause he's so old that they dont think he'll have the appeal, he wont attract the young girls or crowd anymore they might think, he might not got it anymore but that's not true. The man is a legend and probably the great actor who's ever lived.
Didnt he just make the Irish man like two years ago where he got so much recognition and praise?
I havent seen that one but was starting to watch it and saw the beginning and liked it. How good it was made and instead of sucking and it being a milking.
Gigli mightve been panned and bombed but I dont think it was that bad. I never saw it but saw bits of it and could see what they were trying to do. Surely they are way worst and Im not quite sure if you know Al. He has made so many movies and in such varieties, from playing cartoons to devils, to cartoon like, to angels. He's done it all. I think he is quite impressive.
Mel makes movies because like I said, because he wants to. If he really was blacklisted he wouldnt be nowhere near a tv like Kevin you say. He is also so rich he can make his own movies if he wants to. If you really think Mel needs to work in movies for money your delusional. The man is beyond rich. He works cause he likes acting. He could just phone it in by directing or producing and might even make even more.
Edge of Darkness was not a B-Movie. It was a pretty good movie, I liked, that did get respect and recognition. The reason he didnt end it there was because like I said he likes acting. So much that he is obsessed with it.
Whether the role in expendable was big or not is no matter. They put him in there cause he is Mel and Mel is big. If he was so blacklisted why did they even consider to take a chance of him in that? No real blacklister would ever start in such a big franchise. Try to put Roman Polanski to direct expendable see what happens.

we have evidence of mel bc ever since his controversy he hasn't made a big movie, so you an live in fantasy land all you want but his career was fine up until he had that controversy and then suddenly his career was over. don't you think there had to be a reason why his career ended right after the controversy? it's cause and effect.

his role was small in the expendables movie bc they couldn't take a chance on him bc of the controversy.
i thought you said you lost respect for eastwood when he lied about his last acting role being in gran torino? so why didn't you also lose respect for mel after he lied about edge of darkness being his last acting role?

There was just giving them yesterday called Blood Father and it got rave reviews. So he is still not just making movies but good movies. What connection? I dont see them doing millions of people favors who they have connections with or are dying to get into the movie. Surely if they knew he would destroy the film they would not let him near anywhere the film at all.

The man has never stopped working. He has a ton of film already completed not yet release and has a ton more either beginning or pending. For a man who's supposedly career is over he is still fairly active. I dont really think you know the definition of over. Dean Cain cant even get lifetime anymore, Maculyn Culcaulyn is in hideout, Stuart Townsend has disappeared, Mel Gibson a ton of **** being added since the incident. Has never stopped for a year and is still going strong. Yea, I'd say his career is over. Was that poem of yours just a script you were working in the mirror?
