His wife won't mind. She puts ads in craiglist all the time that
she is hiring bakers and staff and she likes to have customers.
He is not a nice guy at all so even if you bring a friend over
there he will not be nice to you guys especially if you go many
times. He really does not like people.
If you do get to go with your friend don't stare nor talk to him at all
that is a suggestion.
He is not people friendly-that attitude can be very bad for business. -

That area has many bakeries that are very good,I don't know if
they will outdo the competition anyway. You really don't even
have to go to a bakery to get cupcakes, you can go to any super
market and buy frozen cupcakes,if you put them in the oven they
will be done in minutes and you save gasoline or you can learn to
bake them. I don't know how to bake cupcakes,I buy frozen ones and
I save money of going to any bakery. If you still want to buy cupcakes
you can go to cafes and buy them already made and fresh. I am thinking
their prices are lower than the ones of bakeries. -

I think it is best not to go to his bakery at all anymore.
I did say before that it is Ok to go,but if you are having
so many problems about seeing this guy in that place then
buying the food in there is not worth it. I also think it
is best if you don't see his movies anymore. He unfortunately
does not appreciate his viewers.
His bakery is in Alamo Heights and there are close to 10 bakeries
over there, many I have heard are better than that one. Shopping in
that area is not a good idea if you don't want to run into him.
Thanks for informing us about the bad experience you had with
this man. I definitely will not go to that bakery and I heard
the food is very expensive too. If you have more problems with
with that actor you can address your concerns to his manager as well.
Best of Luck. -

I read through this whole thread and I am wondering what I missed. Who had a bad experience? So confused!

My my, quelita28, all your postings to this thread are just hilarious !!! First you were overly excited about the Hammers' bakery. Now u r encouraging us NOT to go anymore as if u want them not to do well anymore.
Clearly u went there to "stargaze" & " star-chase", because u say ""other bakeries are better" !!!
Actors are human. They can only do the smiling, charming, autographing for so
long until they rightfully want their own private time, especially when they are
trying to let their mind rest from the entertaining industry and public.
What most fans don't understand is, every fan wants some attention from the stars, : talk to me, smile at me, shake my hand, autograph for me, take pic with
me, kiss me, etc, only take few secs, why can't u do it. they only think for themselves, but if u put yourself in their situation, just how many fans can they please? Sure just a few secs, but how many are demanding that few secs?
"If you have more problems with that actor you can address your concerns to his manager as well."
This is probably the funniest from you. It clearly shows your Star-obsessed feelings have been "hurt", and how naive you are.
"Shopping in that area is not a good idea if you don't want to run into him."
LOL .. I'm speechless

Yes! This post was funny. Speaking to the manager (they own the bakery, btw) because he wasn't overly nice to you? It's true there are a lot of gourmet bakeries in that neighborhood because it's an expensive area (a city within the city of San Antonio) and pretty much all the monied people live there.
I've had the food and cupcakes there and I agree that they are not spectacular but are decent enough. They are more family recipes than gourmet but good for what they are. His wife is always nice and polite when I've gone there and he is usually more reserved. I've only been the bakery twice but have ran into them both at parties and such. -

I have never gone over there and I have never been star gazed by him,but it is true that other bakeries in San Antonio are better, the one his wife owns has hardly any clients. I never have asked autographs nor filmed him nor asked anything from him. I dont hink you have met him, maybe you want to hang out with him or something. If you like him so much go to his bakery every day,you have a huge crush on him and buy all the cakes in there, they are extremely expensive.
