More than anything, I admire his loyalty. Since coming to Fox he has surrounded himself with a cadre of people who have remained pretty consistent. I don't know what happened with Bill Schultz, but somehow I don't think his leaving had much to do with Greg.
Secondly, he's given a hell of a lot of people a chance to get into the industry. His guest pool is very large and diverse. There are a number of people that are more or less regulars on Fox now because Greg gave them a shot.
Third, he's gained the respect of a lot of people that you would never figure to be Gutfeld fans. People like Geraldo Rivera and Lou Dobbs aren't known for suffering fools, but they seem to really like Greg and enjoy playing along with his foolishness.
The current show is a little spotty, but I hope Fox gives it a chance. Conservatives desperately need this guy to highlight the fact that not all of us are bible-thumping stuffed shirts. Given enough time to work into the new show, I think he will do fine.
