If you get attacked then you are justified in defending yourself. Every country would fight back. Hamas can return all of the hostages if they are really interested in ending this war. Until they do, all loss of life is on them.

And Hamas was defending the Palestinians against hostages that Israel has kidnapped and thrown into prisons where they are kept with no charges where they are beaten, tortured, raped and even murdered by Israeli guards.
The goal of Hamas on 10/7 was to tale hostages for prison exchanges.
Hamas are the freedom fighters.
Israel are the terrorists.

That's the difference between Israel and Hamas. Israel doesn't just go around imprisoning innocent people. If Israel has any Palestinians in captivity it's because those prisoners are enemy combatants. Hamas kidnaps innocent people.
