'Ender's Game' Star My Trailer Better Be As Big As Abigail Breslin's
Size definitely mattered for the teenage stars of "Ender's Game" who had a mine's-bigger-than-yours attitude on the set at least as far as their dressing room trailers were concerned.
Both Asa Butterfield and Hailee Steinfeld made sure they didn't get stuck with a dinky or crappy trailer by including specific language in their minor's contracts. Studios are required to file these with the court for all actors under 18.
According to the legal docs obtained by TMZ Steinfeld had to have a trailer that was "no less favorable" than her co-star, Abigail Breslin's. Hailee's an Oscar nominee ("True Grit") just like Breslin ("Little Miss Sunshine") and though it's not spelled out that way in the contract c'mon, this is Hollywood.
As for Butterfield, who played title character Ender Wiggin he demanded a trailer that was as least as good as any one else on the sci-fi set with the exception of the movie's veteran stars Harrison Ford, Viola Davis and Ben Kingsley.
Respect for elders well played, young Ender.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I thought it was going to be a post bashing her. Again, I don't feel that there is anything wrong with them wanting certain things, and it's good that Asa showed respect to his elder acting veterans.
They didn't ask for stupid things like all of the brown M&Ms to be taken out of a bag. Those types of things are just downright ridiculous. Some people have some childish things in their riders.
The plural of mouse is mice. The plural of goose is geese. Why is the plural of moose not meese?

I agree. I think this is also just standard procedure by agents to protect the status of their clients on contacts. Both claims were absolutely legitimate.
Asa protected his status as leading teenage actor. While Hailee protected her status as Oscar nominee, specially taking in consideration that she had a bigger role in the film than the also nominee Abigail Breslin. They weren't even asking for anything better, just "no less favorable".

You are COMPLETELY wrong in your view about this. Van Halen had a very good reason for doing this. Please listen to:

I'm well aware of the reasoning behind Van Halen's request.
