I guess ugly people could find it antagonising, we all get the jeans/genes pun.
This world values beauty so much, she is not a talented actress but she is going to be popular for the next 30 years because of her looks, kinda riles uggos like me up a bit when the world parades them around like trophy people just because they won the genetic lottery.
Makes us feel unwanted -

Yeah but we should learn to accept ourselves how we are despite what society is putting out. We probably can’t change society but we can change how we think about ourselves. Attractive ppl get put in ads and tv a lot more than the average looking person but so what? Doesn’t make their lives any better or more valuable. I think it’s unfortunate ppl think this way when they see a person prettier than them. It’s competitive in the industry but thats why I think most women who are insecure about their bodies shouldn’t be in this field and not feel like these types of ads are personal attacks on them. An ad shouldn’t make themselves feel insignificant

well, i cant speak for everyone, but imagine you and sweeney in mortal peril, hanging off a bridge or something. A male stranger appears and he can only save ONE of you before the other falls…..knowing how the male mind works….I think he is saving sweeney because no offence, she is prettier than you and I think even you would admit that.
Its about attraction, she has long blond hair, massive tits, nice looking face, bright blue eyes…. the male eye would be naturally drawn to her, and if he only has a few seconds to choose who to save, his eye is ALREADY on sweeney, so why not?
I'm no behavioural expert, but thats my theory. -

It's supposedly because she's propping up "pure" aryan genes, but I just think it's a stretch.
Though, I guess some people are also offended that she's pandering to the male gaze. Maybe. This just feels like a culture war distraction. -

Okay I don’t want to come across judgy but I don’t really like these jeans and how they’re cut or fit even on her because they look too baggy. Not sure if guys like baggy look but I don’t becuase I feel like I look bigger or wider in them.
I actually think these jeans are probably a size 00 too because she’s so skinny and AE is bigger in sizing compared to other stores. I remember at one point being able to fit in 00 in ae but not being able to any where else. It kinda distorts how you view your body when stores do this. -

I think the trend now is wider jeans. Like some Gen Z are even wearing Jncos again.
I prefer a slim cut. Like not skin tight but fitted. I used to love wide legged jeans, but it doesn't really suit me now.
Yeah, those sizes are made up. Abercrombie was the worst about it. It was bad for men, but I could imagine it being worse for women.
I think the only reason I got into the Abercrombie trend was because I had lost enough weight to fit in their clothes at the time lol. AE always had my size, even when I was bigger than I am now. -

I love mom jeans and high waist jeans on me. I also don’t mind skinny jeans if they are fitted and not too tight so they would probably not be called skinny jeans but something else. Not sure if I know all the cut styles. i like bootleg too
And sizing is definitely so distorted you don’t even know what you really are anymore. I read that Marylin Monroe was like a size 12 or something back then but that’s the same as 4-6 in today’s sizing. My mom said she had a size 8 jeans from a long time ago that would be same as a size 0 today -

I like that a lot of skinny and slim cut jeans now are stretchy.
I used to like boot cut during my Abercrombie phase. I think it's another cut that's coming back or a variation of it (I think it's called stacked bootcut. I like the stacked skinny or slim cut, but not bootcut), but it's another style that's trending that just isn't me. It looks good on you, and it goes with your overall look.
That's why I like trying on clothes, and hope brick and mortar stores/malls never go away completely. -

oooohhhhh ok so that's why it's controvesial
Definitely a massive stretch. I didn't even make that connection and I usually have a good eye for racist undertones in media. I was too focused on why they kept mentioning her ass when it's not even that amazing.
