I really did not like the character of Colonel Nicholson. I thought he was arrogant, insulting, elitist, egotistical, and wrong. Why shouldn't officers work? Why are they so above honest labour stuff? This is why in real life the actual prisoners said a guy like him would have been quietly eliminated.
