I do not agree with that and I don't think that is a bad thing. She has an incredible voice, hair, makeup, and style, but without all that, she is on the homely side. You have very bright pretty eyes, cute nose and cheek structure, and pretty lips.

I love Lady Gaga, but I did not enjoy her version of the national anthem. I never enjoy the anthem if the singer uses notes or arrangements that are too different from the original. The notes etc in the original evoke extreme emotion in me. When it is too different, I can appreciate the expertise but I do not feel the emotion.

I think I understand what you mean.
I hear so many of these recording artists trying to be all trendy/"artistic" with the anthem at football/baseball games. For once, I would love to just hear a nice simple rendition of the song.
The thing about Lady G was that she didn't get too "snakey" with it.

Whenever I see any person come out at a Sporting Event to sing the National Anthem, I always say the same thing before they begin singing it and that is "if you are going to sing the National Anthem then sing it correctly".
