So he will have had one child with him of around 3. See, told you! 🙂
And I don’t know, I don’t visit places where a breakfast would cost me a weeks wage. I would feel much more at home at Kathleen’s Cafe around the corner. 🙂

Is Kathleen’s Cafe better than Topsy's?
I walked past a curry shop the other day Bobby and it had a sandwich board outside it with the words "This or that" on it. I stopped and peeked up at the display above the counter, but no rice and three
But I did think of you and thought of sharing it
      Let's see if I can't Google Map it…
      here it is!!!

Yes it’s definitely better than Topsy’s…or at least better than Topsy’s became once Tim started cutting corners with his product and started having his smarmy mates in! 😡 I’m GLAD he went out of business!
So is the curry house the library? Curry and a book. ☺️

          I didn't get a curry Bobby, no
But I did pop into the library and also that Bag O' Nails bar that I told you about before
Too busy down that side of town though, there's plenty of places just off it that are still very good but with less foot traffic

It sounds like a lovely day. 🙂 By the way I’ve just started reading Charley’s War by Pat Mills. Have you ever read it?

I haven't read it Bobby, no
I have seen parts of it at various exhibitions and was very interested in getting around to reading it but then I heard that a different author took it over (Money problems with Pat getting his proper cheques) and so figured it was probably being marketed to me rather than finding its own way.
Is it as good as 'they' say it is?

I’ve only just started it but it’s a promising start. I didn’t know that about it not being Pat all the way through. That’s quite disappointing. Although the collections only list Pat as writer so maybe these just collect his material. 🙂

It's touted as "The best British comic book of all time" by some folks Bobby, and so you can see why it appealed to me
But, I've never gotten round to it. I fear that it might actually be brilliant then then stop being brilliant but not quite finished.
One of those things. But I'm glad you've got it now. Now you can tell me when to stop and leave it be

Well I’ve checked and the collections end with the last of Pats material which see Charley to the end of WW1. That’s a blessed relief as I don’t think that I would have it in me to read a continuation by some random, picking up Charley’s story in WW2 and making it a more generic war strip. 🙂

There we go Bobby! I knew there was something in what I was saying. It was a comic book fan who brought it to my attention and cautioned me about it. So the First World War books should be fine, apparently the next batch are still good - just nowhere near as good as the First World War ones
