Why do some dumb kids try trick or treating at houses that aren't decorated?

You are older than me (no offense) I was trick or treating in the 90s. There was no unspoken rule but we just never went up to houses that weren't decorated at least a little bit porch light or not. The porch light think might be an older custom?

Yet I bet there is a part of you that wishes you did put a ball gag on a pumpkin, and put it out on the porch
Go back to coughing , or whatever you want us to believe ails you…

Did you and the little one go trick or treating…or too young still? Or perhaps none of my business? I won't be offended if it's not my business
