Don't be so sure "we" have as much to do with it as you think the industry is much more controlled than people realize.
People are sneering at JB's claims that he's not really the creep he's appeared to be, but I'm kind of in the middle on it as to whether or not I believe him.
On one hand, he's responsible for his own behavior. On the other hand, in recent years, the industry has really pressured, directly or indirectly, young stars to act badly in order to generate scandalous press (since the actual projects don't seem to matter anymore).
We'll see.
My guess is that there's a real creep beneath the put-on creep. Which is a shame because he seems quite molestable.

Then again, maybe his mea culpa this week
is
sincere because people are blowing it off. They tend to be much more accepting of apologies when it's disingenuous.
But they're not accepting Bieber's. So perhaps he actually means it.

The entertainment industry created this monster.
This is where we need to have some empathy, for this 'closeted' and horrendous creature. He was just a kid and the exploitation by his parents and the greedy music industry is staggering. The pandering and condescension, to little and silly teenage girls, to make them think this one note and barely talented performer was the new messiah, is one the entertainments industries darkest hours. If Beiber can prove something worthwhile and rise above other soon to be forgotten teenage idols, then all the best to him. I won't be holding my breath and he is likely best forgotten, until something worse comes along.

Well, if the rumor is true that he demanded a dressing room "as far away as possible" from HIV-positive Charlie Sheen this morning on THE TODAY SHOW, then maybe Justin is a little too defensive after all!

he is gay. He's always been gay, but if I recall with wes/John/Justin is that he never really got a boyfriend. I think he wants one of those big jock football player types and usually gets stuck at best with wimps like himself and back then even they turned him down. Its hard to say its his business because I still remember the things wes/justin did when he was a kid to other people, he wasn't joking then and that can't be forgotten. I really think the fame thing confuses him, because no matter what with Justin he will always think he was right when he was a kid no matter what fight or argument or how many times he was made fun for it or toruted for it in the past he still thinks he's right about those things and saves those things and I think thats his anger. Thats why I'm torn because he has never been famous before or treated with such respect until recent years (which I still question) until his fame and I think that confuses him and pisses him off when he sees someone a fan of is and remembers how they acted when he was "John" which he still is. I think it bothers him because he wants to lash out and is in a postion to finally get them back and can't and I think thats what he represses. I think he let it all go to drugs but5b4 will eventually come out of that and still never get what he wants. He still has a great sense of humor but this is his time. I don't think its fair. He didn't ask for it.
