The Daily Show will change of course, but it will still be the number one source of news for many Americans
Of course you can always watch Fox News if you want your preconceived notions validated by rude folks that disrespect anyone that doesn't toe the corporate line -

Unfortunately, when Trevor takes over the helm of The Daily Show, there won't be much of a difference between what he does (on HIS version of The Daily Show) and what they do at Faux News on a daily basis. I'm sure he'll come across just as prejudice, racist, ignorant, uneducated, intolerant and Full of beep as the folks at Faux !!! He's already proven this and his show hasn't even begun to air.
Jon Stewart IS a legend and a comedic genius. He literally put Comedy Central on the map. Oh, and he did it without 'race baiting' and / or singling out any particular group for the most stereotypical, hateful jokes. So it's sad that his legacy is going to be carried on by someone so ignorant, intolerant and uneducated. The least they could do is change the name of the show, in an effort to completely sever any ties to Jon's incredible legacy. -

Trevor Noah is a South African a country that has suffered the craziest r5b4acism with violent laws against interracial relationships of all kinds up to the 90s. Many Afrikaans (Whites) are still very racist and the Black or natives have a pretty bad inferiority complex that can' just be erased simply because Mandela changed certain things. Sorry, but if this is strongly part of your life why not make it PART of your comedy??? What the hell else is going to talk about?

So what? Jon Stewart is Jewish, but you don't see him whining day after day after day about all the atrocities that the Jewish people have suffered. This is suppose to be a "comedy" show and not a platform for hate, intolerance and ignorance. Trevor is a disgrace to the legacy of Jon Stewart.
P.S. Racism comes in all colors. I've known blacks, whites, Latinos, and even Asians who are racist in their views of others w111cho aren't like them. -

No doubt Jon Stewart made TDS what it is today.
However, I cannot help but notice that the narrative is very much as it was. Many of the writers stayed (as well as the director) and in my opinion they are still writing for Jon's voice.
I hope Trevor and the writers get to know each other better and help him find his voice because right now it feels like Trevor is reading for Jo5b4n.
I still have hope that the fight against BS continues and just as funny.
