I am going to assume she had a sex change operation. The very first time I saw her on Blue Bloods, I swear she was a boy. She did not look like a girl.

I'll admit something that might be odd. I could swear the Nicky character was played by a different actress in the first episode.
But since I haven't found more than one actress named as playing Nicky, I guess it was just the different haircut and hair color.

The girl who played Jodie Foster's daughter in Flightplan played Nicki in the pilot.
