I wonder how she really felt.I know she had
to be very political and say great things about
the cast and crew and the experience.But one of
the producers says on record she told her mom
"i hope they don't make me a zombie"!!!

From everything I have read, she loved being on TWD, and was really sad when she had to leave.

I understand why they made her a zombie, Sophia's death will have a largely affect the group, with Carol, Daryl, Rick, Carl being affected16d0 directly, and Lori indirectly, while the rest, yes even Shane, will be affected to some degree.
I think the writers didn't know what they could do with Sophia, and will come to regret not having Sophia around, they could do things with the innocence of Sophia that they won't be able to do with jaded Carl.
