Thought he did a great job and was played spot on. You just took a 16 year old kid who has had powers now for 6 months and dropped him in the middle of a fight, as equals with his heroes.
You want the grown up responselook no further than his counterpoint on Team CapAnt Man. Paul Rudd's character was played just the same way from an adult's point of view.
Loved them both, the awestruck wonder of OMG!!! I just got a golden ticket to the BIGS!
This would be like picking some guy in A ball and dropping him at the plate during the World Series, or grabbing a kid up in the park playing street ball and putting him at center court with Jordan (if you're my age) or Lebron or Curry.
Marvel did what I didn't think they could do since jazz dance emo Spidey stepped onto the scene years agothey made me look forward to a Spiderman movie. -

"Then the jokes he made were very unnecessary and obnoxious, in my opinion"
That was one of the most authentic parts of the portrayal I thought. The Spider-Man I grew up with was a wise cracking teenager.. It's refreshing to see this angle used. -

Yeah, I though they did a really good job with that! And I felt like it wasn't even just jokes. He was just being super genuine and for him that means geeking out over things and not really knowing what to do in that situation and it was funny even though it didn't feel like he was nessesarily trying to be funny. But it still came off like he totally had a sense of humor, not like he was just an idiot or something. I don't know. Maybe I'm rambling and it'll make no sense to anyone but it made sense when I was thinking it

It is your opinion of course but I want to point out at that young age, spider man is a very powerful being. Doesnt matter how old his foes are. In secret wars, he single handedly beat up multiple xmen at the same time including wolverine. Would have gone on to humiliate them if it1c84 werent for prof x. This movie is accurate in their depiction of his powers as bucky and falcon could not handle him.

Tony recruiting 16-yr old kid on a mission where he could die????
I know Tony saw his abilities but come on! Hes just a kid.and that scene whete Tony sends him home does not fix anything its reckless and I am amazed how fans do not mind that
It makes Tony look stupid -

I liked the Spider-Man character, but I'm suprised that no on111ce has mentioned how fake the CGI looked. Why bother to cast a person at all if he's 100% CGI with the mask on. When he didn't have the mask on it didn't look close to the same suit.
