          She played a contemporary girl in Secret Diary of a Call Girl (dresses: short, rumpled, unflattering).
          her characters are from different eras, but many have a simpering quality I find quite irritating. She's probably very nice in real life, but came across as spoilt and entitled in Downton Abbey and SDOACG.
