I'm super impressed with her on "Orange is the New Black." The girl's got talent. Her character in the show is so relatable. I feel like her character hasn't been represented on any show before. Maybe in some movies. Still, all of her subtleties make it so much fun to watch.

I would disagree with that. I think she's a sub-par actress being hidden by an awkward character and very few scenes. Her expressions are overemphasized and I don't buy this supposed romance in the show at all. Not saying she's the worst by any means, but I wouldn't go so far as to say she's talented.

Ummmm, I hate to sound negative, but I can't handle the scenes with her, I feel like she's the worst actress on the show.
I agree with the over emphasis, over acting, and it's just exhausting to me.
I like her look though, she's very beautiful and the camera loves her, but acting isn't her thing. -

First, let me say it's nice to see a topic/thread where everyone is respectful, whether they agree or not. Remember this some characters are not meant to be likable. I think she's perfect for this role. She has an allure that would draw a guard in, but also has some self-serving characteristics due to her horrible upbringing. Someone mentioned in a comment that this relationship could never have occurred. Let me tell you, they do! More often than you might think. The only thing hokey in the show about Bennett and Daya, is his tail would have been put on immediate leave pending investigation and subsequently fired and charged with rape (just like Pornstache was)
You need to remind yourself that it's semi-fictional and not shot documentary style. Given the writing and direction, her performance is fantastic (btw, I love the writing and direction) I've worked on films that I've never watched. There is a huge difference between creativity and Hollywood fluff. This is a GREAT show. Kudos to all cast and crew.
