i dont know what they did to pull it off, but in the scenes where she plays a younger version of herself it really looks like she's quite a bit smaller.

Yeah I agree, shes a good actorthe whole cast is good.

Well, I also think that in the prison scenes, she is in clothes that are not form fitting. Seeing her in form fitting clothing and then using young looking clothes helped. But I do agree that she really did look younger.
