I guess you know by now that she did (sorry, I just saw this). If they stick to the way the books go, she will also have an appearance in season 3.

I havent read the books, but I imagine Laoghaire may well be one of the most disliked characters in them? Just guessing here, given her trying to come between Jamie and Claire and all that she did to Claire in Season 1. In the early of Season 1 episodes, when we first met her, there were times I did feel sympathy for her character. She was a young girl with a big crush on Jaimie andhe just wasnt that into her (
          clearly
wellto everyone but her, evidently, as she just cant take the hint). Anyway, by the time shed set Claire up to be put on trial as a witch, any sympathy for her character had pretty well vanished.
Having said that^, Ive been watching Season 2 on Blu-ray and just finished 'The Fox's Lair' episode somewhat spoilery if you haven't seen the episode, which is the first one with Jamie and Claire back in Scotland. I didnt realise Laoghaire would be in the episode, so it was somewhat of an Oh, crap. moment when she appeared. I had a feeling she didnt really mean that whole speech she gave Claire about wanting forgiveness, etc. And I only felt the slightest twinge of sympathy when Claire gave her the verbal smackdown (since, really, she pretty much deserved it). Its a wonder I feel any sympathy at all for her character, given everything shes doneand yet, I still do (at least a tiny bit) and I think thats due to Nell Hudson. Firstly, she has such a unique look about her. I find her quite striking/fascinating to watch. Secondly, I could see things from her characters perspective back in the early episodes of Season 1. As much of a brat as she was being, I could at least see how she was rationalizing her hatred for Claire and endless pursuit of Jamie (since, from her point of view, she would have likely snagged him had this intrusive Sassenach not butted in out of nowhere and ruined her chances thats how she saw it anyway). However, she most certainly crossed a line when she set Claire up to be put on trial, and then basically sentenced her to death. That can hardly be forgiven. Not ever, really.
So I think Claire was more than generous with the way she behaved towards Laoghaire in the episode. Though the set-up of her trying to flirt with Simon as part of Jamie and Claires plan allowed for a bit of humour in the episode. I kind of got a laugh out of her being caught by Claire sniffing Jamies shirt - though, as someone else pointed out, kind of strange she did that since it wouldve just been washed and thus free of his smell that she appeared to want to breathe inlike the crazy stalker she seems to be. Though it was at first somewhat humourous when she mentioned to Claire that she allowed Simon a peek down her dress, it was also kind of sad that this was her first instinct. As Ive seen mentioned elsewhere, its too bad she seemed to have no interest in him, as clearly he wouldve loved her like she wishes Jamie would. Anyway, given her last line of the episode, shes clearly not given up on her pursuit of Jamie which I can understand making a lot of people hate her even more than they may already have and just dismissing her character as "crazy". However, I find her kind of interesting, in that Im half intrigued/half dreading to see what she gets up to next. Whilst it would be too much to see her character all the time, I dont mind her turning up every so often (so Im glad to read here that she will keep appearing on occasion though Im probably one of the few who feels that way).
