More often than not, kids are going to act their age despite their talent or intelligence. I saw the Phoenix Comic Con also, and I don't believe Millie's comments were meant to be harsh, more like a kid teasing the other as kids often do.

No they are not babies, I agree! Even though Millie appears very mature for her age, she still has a lot of kid in her also. As far as Millie and Finn not liking each other, sure I guess it's possible, absolutely!

they're just kids, try not to look for drama where there is none. I think they are both uncomfortable being "shipped" together but there is no 1908real proof at all they don't like each other. -

most of them are! they are all 14 (well finn is almost 14) and millie will soon be 13! they arent little kids. you dont wanna know the stuff 14 year olds do these days! its not like they are 7 years old and have a true reason to be so uncomfortable about it. dont use their age as an excuse.

I understand that my last post was not clear. I didn't say "they're just kids they're not accountable for anything they say". I know they're not small children. they're bright young teens who are all very intelligent and usually mature. But due to the fact that Millie's not even 13, even she won't be mature 100% of the time. What kind of middle school-aged preteen demonstrates perfect manners and courtesy 100% of the time? Not millie, not finn, not anyone.
What I did say was: "they're just kids stop looking for drama where there is none". Perhaps it should be worded: "don't get carried away reading too much into what the cast members say, because they are KIDS/TEENS". The fact that some people with too much time on their hands got so invested in the lives of these KIDS that they shipped Finn and Millie together caused BOTH of the actors to feel awkward. However, Finn and Millie did indeed do a photoshoot together (even though it would fuel these shippers), they have both said kind things about each other in interviews over and over, and even today Millie put videos/pictures on her snapchat of them hanging out being friends. I promise the odds are they get along perfectly well

Based on interviews Millie is very mature FOR HER AGE. That can sometimes make people forget that she's still just a kid, and oftentimes she says and does things that any kid will do. She's a very intelligent young lady, but she still only has that limited 12 years under her belt. Time brings experience and wisdom, she isn't even old enough to remember the relatively recent events of september 11 2001. In a few years she'll be impressively intelligent, but for now she's just a little girl, with a little girl mind, who will act in little girl ways. There's no dislike between the two of them, just awkward pre-teen/teen male/female relations.

Age isn't and certainly shouldn't be an excuse for everything all the time.
If there's one thing it can excuse though, it would be a harmless display of immaturity once in a while. Surely to actually be a kid while you are one is not too much to ask?
12 is not infantile but it is still so very young. The older you get, the more apparent that becomes.
