I've seen the first two and they are good. I've just downloaded Dark Star because it looks like fun and a John Capenter to boot. I'll watch it tonight when it goes dark.

I think it was just a thing that guys would do around that type to try and show off how 'bad ass' they were Benny but yup, it's inclusion in Aliens was certainly a nod to the originator of it all.

Almost all classic period Roger Corman movies. The Pit and the Pendulum or The Wild Angels would be my personal choice, or The Intruder if you're looking for something with a bit more gravitas.
