There isn't one. The fellowship doesn't work without contributions from all of them, except maybe Boromir. Aragorn, Frodo, and Gandalf have the strongest arguments in their favor though.

The ending of the 3rd film makes it clear what Sam and Frodo have been up to all of these years.
