I thought they sucked, tbh. Overly long, boring melodrama about midgets playing with jewelry. They all could have benefited from a editor, but Peter Jackson never shot a scene he didn't like. These movies also probably directly inspired Game of Thrones, which is another strike against them. Even if you did enjoy these films for some reason, you have to admit they were kind of a mess.

Short and sweet is my motto. Those movies sucked big time. They could have been condensed into a really great, 90 minute, rip roaring, blockbuster.

I liked the hobbit town. After that it was too dark and scary. The movies should have stayed there and been about hobbit life.
